New to HR. What book should I absolutely read?
I have 6 yrs of HR exp, a PHR cert & an HRIP cert. I recently left my role as an HR Rep at a tech co b/c I was working 60+/week and the stress of the job was affecting my health. I recently received an offer at a new tech co that is $10k less than what I was previously making with comments from current EEs that this new co has a better WLB. Total comp is still a lot less than my prev company. Is less comp too much of a compromise for better WLB? What have you compromised for a better WLB?

Hi. When you write well versed in HR from what prescriptive or hole? I highly recommend that you obtain the PHR cert. is it possible for you to list the tasks or roles you have been in.
I would recommend listing the names of the systems you have used on your resume!
Hey there, I just joined FishBowl a few minutes ago so happy to give you my input. I obtained my PHR certification in 2010 and have been in HR since but personally, I don't think the certification will make all of the difference in getting you that first HRG role, I would recommend getting an entry-level HR job and working your way up from there since every company handles situations differently. With that said, W+K is hiring a coordinator for the NY office!
People with 1.7 years of experience can be better than people with 25. You can learn all you need to learn, but experience gives you the advantage of being situationally confident to do the right thing.
I’ve hired many people with almost no experience because they were clearly smart and had other experience that indicated they would be fabulous in TA
And you do need more experience
