Cushman & Wakefield Interested in a Sales Associate position at Cushman & Wakefield. I have experience as a government analyst for 7 years but nothing related to commercial real estate. I want to become a more competitive applicant but not sure where to start. Are there any certificates, skills, or knowledge that I should be learning in my free time?

Is it sustainable business model? Asking cos I don’t know. I always imagined it’d be more frenetic than advertising with shorter timelines. I don’t know tho
As a creative, it seems like an opportunity to get more work produced and out into the world rather than just creating decks for meetings.
Agencies are constantly pitching clients their ideas and 90% of it, even when it’s brilliant and on-brief, never sees the light of day because we are not only trying to convince the client on the merit of the idea but that they should then go out and spend more of their money to buy expensive media to support it. That second piece is expensive and time consuming.
At least at one of the companies listed above, the media is already in place. The client relationship seems flipped where the clients are coming to you asking for something to be made on your platform.
In terms of sustainability, I think the reason agencies are so expensive is that it takes them 4months and 1million £ to create a :30 where a news org can push out a branded film or doc in a matter of weeks and write, produce and launch the whole thing entirely in-house with less overhead. Which to your point seems frenetic but no less frenetic than polishing a deck of ideas that likely will never get made at 2am for a client meeting at 8.
This is just my limited view from the outside so would love anyone’s insight who actually knows how it really works.
