I’m interested in starting medication (treatment not preventative) but I’ve done a very good job of not letting my PCP know about my mental health issues for 10 years because I don’t want anxiety in my medical record for the rest of my life. I have a hard time feeling like if it’s in there everytime I seek treatment my concerns will be downplayed. Is there a way around this?

You’re medical record isn’t public knowledge (or so I think)

I don’t think so. They need to know what meds you’re on (in case you have some other issues) to watch out for drug interactions etc. But, while I know it sucks, either you trust your PCP to know your complete medical history and still treat you with respect and take your concerns seriously, or it is time to find a new PCP.

Curious of non clinical salary in the dental field. I work in not quite ‘high end’ dental as insurance specialist. I am also front desk manager (tho not office manager). I was hired to do insurance and in the 2 months since I started I have been given a dozen more responsibilities. Insurance verification, front desk, answering phones, taking payments, training, all IT work (which I’m not even good at but I’m the only person under 50 in the office so it falls on me)

Anyone enroll in dual insurance coverage? My wife is currently on my employer’s plan with me with a 25k lifetime fertility max. That’s 1.5-2 cycles of IVF as I understand it. We might need more, and her employer’s plan would also have a fertility benefit, so we’re thinking of dual enrolling her in both my employer’s plan, as well as her employer’s plan. Anyone else do this?

Sitting here drinking a white claw when I see my cat Bootsy watching me *very* intently. Reminded me of the end of last school year when I noticed a student discreetly recording me while I was eating my lunch. I saw her sitting there in her seat with the face of her phone angled in such a way that it appeared that the camera lens was aimed at me. "Are you recording me?" She put her phone down and murmured an affirmative. So sketchy. Have you ever had a student recording you discreetly?
