When you get staffed on a local role #byestatuses
If any one is flying into ORD right now, avoid taking a cab from the airport. Car accident at the exit of arrivals. I've been in a taxi for 20 min and haven't left the airport. Take the train.
Any advice on telling my SM that my current role is not a good fit? I don't want to burn bridges. I'd like to stay on this project but move to another role that aligns with my skills and career path
Wanna quit so fuckin bad but don't wanna lose my exit bonus. How can I minimize the amount of work? Call in sick for a month???
How many times do I let incoming summers make mistakes before giving them a bad review? Feel like mistakes aren't uncommon in that position....
BCGers - Is you firm hiring? I interviewed around 1.5 years back and they told me to get more experience at my current firm and then reach back in 1-1.5 years
For those of you that have left consulting, how is it? How did you find your industry role (LinkedIn? Client? Network?) and are you glad you left? (I'm 6 yrs pre-MBA with 1 yr consulting experience)
Just put in 3 weeks notice; between passing off work until then and two weeks funemployment before new role this will be my longest time not working since starting from undergrad 9 years ago. #winning
What are some human capital consulting exit opportunities? Are they primarily restricted HR?
Got "upgraded" from window seat in exit row to middle seat in Comfort+ on a full, cross-country flight. Thanks, delta.......
Just rejoined my old firm & an old mentor wants me to apply for a prestigious position w/in the firm. I want the job but don't want to burn bridges in my new office. Thoughts? Is it too soon?
Honest question: how many hours do you work a week, what type of consulting do you do, and what is your position? Thinking of switching from big 4 consulting to MBB but seeking this feedback.
Anyone else feel their firm-issued laptop specifications are not up to task of running the documentation software, various background processes, and opening hundred of supporting excel spreadsheets?
IT audit folks, what are some of the good exit opportunities if you don't want to do IT audits your entire life?
Made the mistake of applying to a position with a recruiter who appears to have gone to university with my boss (abt 15-20 years ago). Am I screwed?
Post for push testing

Pretty girl at the Aloft bar on a Sunday.. yes we both are at the client location already.. sigh. Is it you?
To all of you people landing mbb/t2 interviews and aren’t from strategy backgrounds e.g tech implementation, financial services… please share how you’re doing it and where you’ve come from! Just for some encouragement for all of us trying to do the same 😣
Fishes need advice, I'm a M3 and my Partners have repeatedly told me that I am the strongest candidate for promotion this year, they haven't said it for sure though. I got contacted by Deloitte Digital, and I am being offered a Senior Manager role with a slight bigger pay when compared to my estimated salary after promotion (10k per year). Is it worth changing? what are your thoughts?
This transgender bathroom issue has gotten out of hand. Deloitte homepage shows an article titled "Supporting our Inclusive Culture". Deloitte should allow it's employees to decide their own stance.
When you eat Mexican food and realize your SPG Green Choice is about to turn into a personal Brown Choice.
On today's call I'm asked a question directly by the client and I have two other people jump in and talk over me and give a different answer for me. Teamwork at its finest.
Salary expectations for Deloitte federal advisory? Should be at the Consultant level doing analytics. I have 1 year of experience out of undergrad with another firm.
I have 3 different offers on the table rn. 1. Staying in my current consulting agency with a slight raise. Way underpaid, no colleagues I like - but a lot of freedom. 2. Switching agencies. 60% higher salary, colleagues I do know and like from projects we did together with several customers - fewer freedoms. 3. Customer offered me internal position. Great office hours, lots of vacation, great salary. But tbh: leaving consulting and project work? Don’t want this to happen. What you think?
Have received majority critical feedback in the first few weeks on my new role. A few “thanks yous” & “good job” but that’s it. Should I be concerned??
Is it better to rent privately (through a landlord) or through a property management company (AMLI, Greystar, etc)? What has your experience been between the two?
I started at D as a manager about 6 months ago. 10+ YOE in industry, no previous consulting experience. I went into this role knowing it was simply a stepping stone and intended to do 2 years and start looking for an exit. Well I’ve already started getting bombarded by recruiters for suitable exits. Should I entertain offers already or hold off a little longer? No firm offers yet because I haven’t accepted any interviews etc. but some are definitely very interested.
Hey guys, I’ve never posted before but apparently I need to “earn” 11 likes before I can dm someone (trying to ask about a referral 🤪). Can 11 of you help a fellow definitely hard working consultant that wants to leave their current firm out and like this? I will be very grateful
As we have arrived at the core promo and comp season for many of us, just a shoutout to all of you. Hope you do well and for those of you that decide to jump ship..may the other side be greener. Peace out my fellow cogs...
Trying to get a DMV knowledge test for my teenage child for learners permit in NJ. There are no apts available for initial permit that is required to book a knowledge test but the person at DMV asked me to get a non-driver ID first and then use that to register for knowledge test. Anyone knows if that would work?
