I'm interviewing for a go-to-market manager (GTM) position with a retailer which involves the creative producing of shoots, marketing collaboration and sales collaboration but I have no idea what the pay range should be. GTM in tech is 110k-130k but glassdoor tells me a project manager at the same company makes approx 90k. Should I be aiming higher or lower? I don’t want to eliminate myself.

I would aim higher. Worst they can say is no. If they want you, they will pay it and negotiate with you.

How do I get a job as a Mechanical Engineer if I dont have experience?

I couldn’t get an internship while in school. I have a BS in ME and projects from school under my belt. I’ve also passed the FE exam. I’ve been mostly just doing CAD for a company for the last year by creating minimally dimensioned drawings and moving parts around in assemblies. I want to evolve in my career and be doing more. I recently interviewed for a really well known, mature tech company that’s revered for its great culture. I was at the last round, after over a month of communication, interviews and challenges. I couldn’t even count hours I’d already put in. Then they ghosted me. It ruined my interest in the role anyway, but I’m still extremely disappointed with how they treated me. Hello All, Office Sup. for a major hospital, w/ 15 years experience. I have lots of experience in every position in the office, especially in training. I recently applied for an EPIC trainer position within the company and according to Glassdoor the average pay is about 23k more than what I currently make. I’m afraid of getting a lowball offer since 1. they obviously know my current salary and 2. I’d be new at this particular role, although I meet qualifications. Any advice if that’s the case?

I’ve been offered a position that I’m really excited about. Their initial offer was 10K more than the top of the salary range they gave me for the position when I asked during the interview process and at the top end of the salary requirements I set for myself. My partner thinks I should still negotiate for more even though I’m happy with the offer. Am I an idiot if I don’t negotiate in this case? Realistically, I don’t think I’d get much more than that, but should I negotiate out of principle?

3 years ago I asked for a compensation review/raise, went through what felt like a ridiculous 8 MONTH long process of defending why it was warranted, only to be told no. 3 months ago I asked again and it has gone nowhere. I should add that salary bands are kept secret and I have no clue what the range for my position is.
