What makes Accenture so great and what opportunities to enhance your development have they given you (I have an interview tomorrow)?

Why are firms still so obsessed with geography? I applied to this firm’s Boston office because I loved the firm, culture, and practice, and half of my interview was about Boston. Sigh. I’m very much agnostic about my location, so it’s frustrating to have to have a reason other than hey Im very happy and willing to move for this job
Hi fishes! Can someone refere me for react developer role.I have 8 months of work experience.Any lead would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Is it okay to ask someone who referred you to a role what type of questions they’ll ask on the interview and guidelines?
Any insight into BCG fed/public sector case interviews? How different are they from the commercial side?
Does anyone here work for Microsoft and could tell me about your experience been working for the company? I’m interested in their Tax Manager position.
I have a offer from CGI 17.5 Lakh fixed and 50 k joining bonus North America shift. I have another offer from wipro-18 lakh of which 15.3 fixed Singapore shift. Both are project manager role. What will be my take home in wipro. Which is a safer bet for a lady employee.
Hi all - any tips/what are some Do’s and Don’ts for in-house interviews for big NASDAQ or FAANG companies? TIA!
How do you explain in subsequent interviews you were fired? Is it impossible to get a job after you were let go?
Thoughts on Ops Strategy and Analytics role as an exit from consulting? Anyone moved to a similar role in industry?
Pharma headhunters in NYC? Looking to get into big pharma specifically in technology/digital innovation(AI, NLP, etc). Are recruiters gatekeepers to roles or is it applying through company site
2YoE at Tier 2 FS practice, considering a switch to commercial law. Any thoughts on the long-term TC trajectory at MBB/Tier 2 consulting vs Magic circle law? Also on the stability of the respective careers? I have this perception that even if I don’t survive Commercial law, at least I can move to Swindon or Milton Keynes and retrain as a high street solicitor doing divorce filings making £50k for the rest of my career. Exit opportunity for consultants seems to be pretty bleak in UK.
Had two interviews, second was late last week before the COVID stuff kicked in. The recruiter who was very responsive has gone silent, ignoring my last two emails. Can't tell if it's me or the virus.
Has anyone done the Slalom Salesforce functional business case interview? What can I expect and tips for preparing?
I've been at McKinsey for a few years now and think it's time to make a switch. One of the paths I'm most interested in is product management. How similar are product management interviews to consulting interviews? Are their any Victor Cheng consulting interview prep videos equivalents for the PM interview world?
How long does it take to hear back on results from the first round of interviews at BCG? Had first round interviews last week and really want to join the firm.
This will be my first year as a math/science coach for a K-5th grade elementary school. What are some things you would like your math/science coach to do to support you as a classroom educator? If you are an academic coach yourself, what tips can you offer to someone coming into this position?
Does McKinsey and BCG go for external hires for the “Principal” role (level below MD/Partner) Or is everyone home grown at this level.
Is it normal as an assistant to have to ask for work all the time? My Account Director never talks to me
Trying to determine if I’m off-base: 9ish yrs of exp (7 + 2 post MBA). Focus in healthcare strat and org change/transformation — when folks call I’ve been asking for $175K base but the roles have topped out at $150K base. These are director level roles in industry and health tech. Is $175K too high? I’m currently at a T2 strat firm…
Anyone know what happens if your credits score isn’t high enough to get the corporate Amex?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Has anyone switched from b4 to b4 in audit? What was your driving factor? Clients/industry/bonus/compensation etc.
Hi. I have a question. In a world where COVID is under control, how would you feel if your companies went back to being fully in the office? But maybe others were adopting a hybrid model- some days remote, some days in the office. Would it make you want to work elsewhere? How important is being able to work remote (at a location of your choice, not at client /travelling) a few days a week to your job satisfaction?
Has anyone here used a service to help you find a new job? I’m looking at one where they source and apply for jobs for me. They’ll also help me rework my resume, LinkedIn, and other materials, as well as interview coaching. I’ve been looking for a new position on my own with no luck for the past 6 months. The downside of this service is they charge a commission based on the salary for the job they place you in. Thoughts or advice?
Am I required to give 2 weeks notice? I've got 2 weeks left at KPMG but I'm on the bench, and I'm afraid my manager will make tomorrow my last day if I tell her
Been working remote since the beginning of the pandemic. Back in the office in January and trying to finalize childcare. Recruiters connecting with me for new job opportunities. Scared to even consider a shift out of my current company where I may have some flexibility bc I've been there for so long, but they're dragging their feet with giving me a well deserved raise. So unsure what to do. Shift now, or cont to negotiate $ at current job or hit the road and let the childcare figure itself out.
Having some imposter syndrome lately: Previous JMO who left for Management Consulting years ago post-MBA (non top-25), but now a manager in tech. Moved around firms and looking to move again to chase the pay and title I think I should be at. Always wrestling with YoE and skills versus the higher positions I think I’m qualified for. Always comparing years in industry and rationalizing years of management/soft skills in the military. Anyone deal with or conquer this? and how? TIA
Apart from schools with rolling admissions or guaranteed interviews, has anyone heard about R1 interviews yet? If so, which schools?
Meeting with a VC partner and HR head for coffee/ discussing a role. Unsure what to wear. East coast, if it matters.
I have a friend who lives a couple thousand miles of me who just had a baby, emergency c-section a couple weeks ago. Putting together a small care package to send to them, and I want to make sure it is mostly items for her and her husband. Any suggestions on things you wished people had done/gotten for YOU or your partner after having a baby instead of just more baby stuff?
has anyone revised what they expect in comp in the interview process? interviewing for a tech firm and quoted base+bonus but no RSUs. upon researching more feel like i low-balled a bit and should have asked for RSUs too.
For those of you who have worked at both KPMG and EY consulting/advisory how do benefits compare? Specifically: cell phone allowance, allowance for meals while traveling, and alternative travel policy
All, this is my first post and I just want to share that I passed the first Amazon interview for Technical Program Manager and am heading to on-site virtual interviews! I have 20 years of corporate tech in a traditional F500 company (top 50). The only thing I can say that I like about my current job is the work-life balance and some of the people. But the work itself is soul crushing and the industry is stagnant. To those who are 40+ years old, is it crazy to change now?
Is a BCG Associate Director the same as a Big 4 cyber senior manager? The qualifications match but I keep getting rejected within 24 hours. Not sure if referrals help - Any insight from BCG folks?
85k salary as a senior at a regional accounting firm in south florida is that market rate for PCS group? I was told even 90k in this market is reasonable.
