Offers from two B4 firms in MCOL city. Based on information below, which offer seems better? Significant pay bump due to the change in locations from HCOL to MCOL with no state income tax (planned prior to offers being received): EY Tech Consulting - M1 175k base, 7.5k signing bonus Deloitte Ops Transformation - M1 175k base, no signing bonus (yet) Currently make 160k base as M1 but in Tier 1 city. Also planning to have a kid in the next year if that makes any difference.
Negotiating an offer for senior consultant EY cyber practice. Any insights on salary and sign-on bonus?
Is anyone from McKinsey willing to answer a few questions about the interview process? Applied to a few roles. Wanted to find out if there is a way to increase the odds of getting an interview.
I recently joined a boutique firm after leaving a Big 4, around a month now, but having second thoughts. Is it bad to Look elsewhere after only a month? I'm not comfortable with how they have treated me regarding some requests and just don't feel at ease. If you know a firm hiring in FS or MC space in general, please help me. Thank you.
Deloitte Comp: 2nd year commercial DHC here. New base salary: $96,500 with a $6000 bonus. How does compare to other 2nd year Cs out there?? (Both DHC and non DHC)
I am currently working at a big 4 in Strategy and Business Transformation practice. I recently came across the job of a S&O Manager role at Global Business Strategy. TBC
Is Guidehouse still hiring summers?
I am two months short of completing 2 years of service at the current firm. I got a good offer and looking to move. This means I will have to pay back about $6k in joining bonus. Is there anyway I can negotiate this? I have so much overtime work hours that can currently be tracked to about 500+ hours for this year alone. What are somethings I should be aware of when paying back the joining bonus?
Any insight on getting MBA from mendoza as far as prospects for transitioning into a post-mba strategy consulting role? It’s ranked outside the top 15 but from research seems like it still sends plenty of grads to top consulting firms (not MBB)
I received an email from leadership gently reminding me to complete a task in a certain way. My peer who was cc’d on the email, also chimed in, suggesting that she is in some sort of leadership position over me. She’s also really bossy in situations and she’s not my boss . I’m super annoyed and she needs to put her tiny * back in her pants. How do you handle such situations?
Seems like this is a good place to get a reality check on what I am looking for in a position. I am trying to leave my current firm. I am a Senior Tax Accountant. Been the only Senior for a year. Currently make $76k. Had a bonus of $4500 this year. Not sure what the bonus is going to be next year (or if there will be any) since they are moving to a new bonus plan that is supposed to be more "fair and generous" We have a Safe harbor 401k plan. So get an automatic 3% contribution to 401K.
Hey y’all, what are some good exit opportunities to look for in Canada? Some context: I’m a healthcare consultant without a clinical background, but I really don’t love the work I’m doing. Not interested in joining the public sector and unfortunately there aren’t too many startups or interesting tech companies in the healthcare/life sciences space in Canada. Any thoughts?
Applying to top 10 schools this coming fall. Will have ~4 years work exp at matriculation. 770 GMAT, 3.3 GPA in engineering from an HYPSM. Data science/consulting with one promo. (Cont.)
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
2 YOE doing implementations and organizational change. Just got offers to be an implementation lead and product manager. What are opportunities I can expect after each role? PM pays 20% more.
What’s the salary expectation for Deloitte advisory SC in tier 1 city? and what’s the YoY comp raise look like?
What's the longest you've sat on the bench? For me it was almost 3 months and I got promoted that year. I don't have a need to ever use my vacation days....
Companies hiring thread:
I joined D's Workday practice as a C and been here ~8 months. I'm getting an offer from a lesser known practice with a 66% increase and a promo to SC. I currently love my job and team. The only motivation to jump is the money. If i stayed at D i'd prob get promoted next year and yet it wont match the salary i'm getting offered today. The money would allow me to reach my goals a lot faster, but is right to move just for the money? I know the work at the other firm will be less interesting.
Expecting an offer for an SAE position in the next few days! What salary should I expect and negotiate for? I have 2.5 years experience in account management and live in Chicago
End goal in PE career? Let’s say you make it to MD at UMM shop. How is comp compared to let’s say F500 C-suite? I’d imagine both to be 10 - 30M, but a cushier rise in F500. Am I wrong? Just trying to figure out this giant rush by so many colleagues to the buy-side
Was reached out to by a Vynamic recruiter Really want to get into healthcare-specific consulting, but would love to move into this space along with a bump. What is your opinion on GARP financial Risk Manager (FRM) certificate? I am considering taking it (as I am FS Risk Consulting), but I am not sure if it really carries benefits. Apparently it is quite a tough study. Is it worth the time or should I invest my time elsewhere? Also do you have learning material you are willing to share :D?
Would you choose a dream role in an average company.. or an average role in a dream company?
