Phone interview on Chime with video on?
My Amazon recruiter asked for a phone interview on Chime with the hiring manager. Is it absolutely a phone interview, or I may need to turn the camera on?
I ran into situations where the Amazon recruiter said it was a phone interview, and the interviewer turned on their camera or asked me if I preferred doing video...
Will doing a video interview deliver a better result than a phone interview? Phone interviews are less effort, of course…
EY India Hello All, I got interviewed by EY India GDS and HR informed me that I am selected and I will receive an offer letter soon and my salary is discussed. And I think many are waiting for an offer letter from EY. If you belong to this category please comment on how long does it take to receive an offer letter after you have compensation approval. Thanks in advance!!

Companies that aren’t upfront about pay are usually a red flag for me. Usually this is a conversation I have with the recruiter during the phone screening so that we’re both on the same page.
I think companies that don’t discuss it at the beginning probably know they aren’t competitive. Especially when they’re desperate to hire someone and they don’t want to lose good candidates early in the interview process who are turned off by the lower salary range.
I would’ve emailed the recruiter back and asked if they could provide more details about the role and compensation. I wouldn’t skip these discussions before going into the first interview. It could potentially lead to a complete waste of both your times.
Going forward, I would definitely ask about it in the first interview if they don’t bring it up. Why waste your time and the company’s time when there’s a chance you’re misaligned on salary expectations?

Even if the first interview isn't with a recruiter/HR and is with the hiring manager? I've always kept comp discussions with HR, and my company actually has hiring managers direct candidates to HR for comp questions during the hiring process.
If they haven't brought it up, they may be waiting to see if you do so they know how big of a priority it is to you. Let them know it is, and don't be afraid to lose an opportunity if it's not a good fit salary-wise! When you wait to discuss it, you're essentially giving them an opportunity to assess your worth rather than going into it confident of your worth.
Had the same experience. Skipped the screening and got first interview with team manager. Asked about the salary and been told to reach out to HR directly as he (the manager) not the one negotiating salaries. At the end of the day I asked here and got valid estimate even before HR replied:)
But overall agree with first response, if during your first intro conversation company is dodgy about compensations it’s a big red flag.
