I'm joining a very small start up, heading up their sales strategy.

I have found ZOOMinfo's data, especially around phone numbers to be well worth the investment.

That being said I will be my new employer's only sales rep and ut is hard to justify 25K annually to get phone numbers for one rep.

Can anyone recommend a ZOOMinfo alternative that sells single-seat licenses?

I actually prefer LinkedIn navigator. You can actually get more accurate information and an immediate way to contact leads.

Rocketreach, sales navigator, and seamless.ai.

P.S. … Zoominfo can offer to 45% discount

Maybe try Lusha, they should provide phone numbers and emails on LinkedIn profiles. Much more affordable.

You could look at cognism too

Lusha is good.
If you’re truly “sales leadership” get comfortable with the idea that tools you need have a cost and get comfortable understanding how to calculate the ROI.
Tools aren’t cheap and many aren’t necessary. Good luck!

I can tell you if you get me a job. I have 20 years experience dealing with Fortune 500 companies and can get you comparable data for $150 a month.

Sounds like you need a business justification, not an alternative. How much more revenue will you produce with this tool? What will the impact be to profitability? When do you anticipate the break even will be? Once you know this, the rest is easy.

That’s ridiculous. I’d try and get a discount. They high ball for sure.

I want to move to a different city, which has lower living costs and salaries (overall and comparatively).

I applied internally to move between offices. The financial offer I received is lower than what I currently make, even though not terrible, and the moving date is TBC but anyways not before the new fiscal year (Spring).

I like my job and company though!

What would you do? Accept? Try to negotiate? Look externally?

Thanks to all who offered advice on retirement and FMLA. I think I will just retire after my sick days are used up. I'm 58, over 28 years teaching. Pension is good. I'm just worried about district not accepting Anxiety as medical reason. Can they fight me. Will a simple note from Dr or therapist explaining I am seeing therapist for anxiety suffice?

Anyone feel as if it’s hard to stay with a company when you’re the only one of color? (&young) I’ve work for 3 companies in past 5 years and have yet to make meaningful colleague relationships. I just do not relate to the conversation and just find it hard to picture myself being a long-term employee. I’ve had better relationships when working at wal-mart when I was in college. I feel it takes away some of the joy of having to go to work.

So my condo is on the top floor of a 3 story building in a somewhat wooded area. This means the roof is right above me.

What this also means is that I hear all the spazzed out tap dancing sounding squirrel foot traffic that happens and then they tend to jump in the trees around my windows and stare me down.

Should be worried?

Offered role with client for same amount of money but one level higher. Trying to figure out if Worth taking it. It’s my dream role but the pay is the same ( consultant to manager role). Reasons to leave D, work life balance, layoffs scare me, current client has good culture/ work to life balance is 9-5. Is it common to get offers from clients? If so maybe I can wait and get better offer.

Do you guys think there's value in working in a pharma for a year or two before transitioning into consulting, or is it better to just jump in? Context: I'm a PhD student who wants to go into life sciences consulting, and I'm trying to decide what to do after I graduate.

Hi All, any tips on sales presentation for bdr in saas sales? Im reaching my final round of interview. Much appreciated

I would like to make a change from a Big tech corporate to a smaller one and also in PRE IPO.
From Milan, Italy back to Dublin, Ireland

Currently base salary much lower than the market, growth opportunities never discussed after 1 year in current position.

The company is Fivetran what do you think?

Experience: 4th year in Big Tech Corporate
2 years in Demand Generation as BDR
2 years as Field Cloud Account Executive.

I am looking for greater impact and professional growth.

Looking for a Sales engineer role for a Saas company.

I am trying to move from my farming role back to an outbound prospecting position. I have a couple screening calls for some pretty awesome companies and I would love some pointers on how to beat the objection that I have only been in my farming role since June. How would you sell the fact you want to go back to SDR, I am sick and tired of non revenue generating activity and miss having a list to attack.

Made it to the final round at Facebook (Meta) and was offered the role as an account manager in Dublin. But due to some internal audit, my offer has been delayed and my recruiter said all hirings have a delay. I am a bit concerned whether they will take back offering me the role. Now at the stage actually to create my whole compensation. Does anyone know whether senior sales role/ account manager roles would be freezed at meta? The recruiter said the demand for this team is quite high actually

Hi All! Would anyone be willing to give me a referral to an Account Executive role at MSFT, AMZN, or GOOGL. Currently Account Executive at Dell and foucused on Cloud services (yes we have cloud services at dell lol)?

I’m expecting an offer for an Enterprise Azure Sales role at Microsoft. Any insight into their compensation structure? I’m currently making 160k base with a 320k OTE.

Hi all - I am a Sr. IT Internal Audit Consultant at a medium-size firm and I'm exploring Sales Engineer roles as a potential exit opportunity. I'm wondering if anyone else in this bowl has an IT Audit background and would be able to offer me advice on how to make the career switch.

Thanks for any advice/guidance you can provide!

I’m in Sales, but brand new to tech sales. I had a resume person help me - gorgeous cover letter too that showcases my skills.

I keep getting rejected for lack of SaaS experience. What can I say or do to get my foot in the door? I am confident that I can crush it but not even getting past the gatekeeper at this point. It’s a blanket “ we need someone with experience” and I’m trying to not get discouraged.

Hi all. Was just laid off along with a few other people from my company, after 18 were laid off last month. Looking for a sales position, over 20 years of sales and account management experience, the last 3 in tech. Tech roles have included HR SaaS, Logistics/ eCommerce, and recruiting SaaS. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

For those working in sales with ARR, what is your commission structure/payout? I am an AE for a SaaS startup and my commission is 7%—- but it’s paid out quarterly as it accrues based on customer invoicing. I think you can do the math and understand why I ask.

Any Tech Sales leaders have insights on how much I can expect to earn as a sales leader (director / VP) at Scale AI?

What is the best way to get into tech sales. I am currently in a sales position but would like to move to the tech industry.

Should I transition to a tech sales job? Thoughts on risk vs reward? I am 34 yo, married with a baby incoming. I work at Google Cloud in solutions engineering (I help develop quantitative business cases with sales teams for customers). My cash base + bonus is $220k (going to ignore equity). I have an MBA from the University of Chicago, not that it matters much in sales. I have always been in a consulting role but I think I can make more in sales. I have a competitive personality and I am bored.

What are some “typical” career paths for Account Executives other than working up towards the largest enterprise AE roles. After being in sales for 6 years, I’m relatively naive to any other than “leadership” and wonder what other options to consider are out there. I’d even be open so some not so typical ones that people have enjoyed/found success in. Thanks in advance!
