I’m just a simple woman who wants a simple haircut at a decent price. No balayge, hair mask, color and blow out, foilayage, brazilian whatever the hell….where can I get a normal haircut with someone who isn’t going to make me look like a 90s mom? It feels like it’s haircuttery or something $200. Recommendations?

Ugh yes I love them but last time I went it was almost 80 after tip because I have long hair. Def a reliable place for something more than a trim, though

Boss has WFH for 9months. I have been WFH for 2-weeks for travel quarantine/state guidelines. She now requires that I go back to the office to “show face” that HR is right alongside the essential employees. I have been more productive from home vs the office. I get the perspective of team unity, but is it wrong to feel there is no reason to risk my health? The company justifies increasing my covid risk (high-risk already) to “show face”, when my job is being fulfilled while WFH. Am I crazy?

I used to do staffing. Involved cold calling And spamming clients and emails. People treated recruiters as middlemen, a noise and felt disrespectful.

But it’s not easy profession - to specialize and win in a niche.

I know it could be automated and give an experience to candidates and clients by making it ondemand, instant and specialization. I saw a Vision to turn this recruiting business into ondemand staffing companies like Airbnb - just publish talent and do the transaction.

Is anyone interested in taking over the lease for a top floor 3 bed 2 bath, 1500 SQ ft apartment in a newly built complex in Plaza Midwood? The lease runs through Sept 2023. It's one of the nicest complexes in the city, has close proximity to Uptown, and has excellent amenities (e.g. CrossFit style gym, two pools, dog park, on site complimentary cafe, etc.). My unit has an ideal layout for work from home and a huge patio.

Edit: $3,196/mo including valet trash pickup ($35) and pest control ($4)

Question for the ladies out there: looking to get my wife a nice bag, she mentioned she wanted something large to hold her everyday things. I understand the LV tote looking back is a popular one, can y’all recommend anything else that’s similar? I see a ton of women out there with the typical LV tote bag but I don’t wanna get her something “basic.” Thanks

Lateraling back to Biglaw as of counsel in super-busy life science niche with 1800 billables requirement. 20+ years in practice (went to ls right out of kindergarten of course;). Position is def non-cookie cutter/lockstep so would really appreciate impressions on salary (500?) and signing bonus (?? no recruiter or referral so I’m thinking that $ at minimum on the table?). Been going round in head so long I need fresh eyes!
