I’m just over 1 year in a supervisory role. I have a team member who is moving on in her career. I would like to do something for her that I would be willing to do for any other employee in the future when they depart. I was thinking a card wishing her well, but also wanted to add something to it. Does anyone have ideas? Is there anything you do/have done? Or would appreciate? Bare in mind turnover is inevitable, so I something financial realistic that can be done time & time again.

For those of you hiring in tech, how has it been looking for talent and filling roles? From what I’ve heard, entry level roles seem easy to fill but experienced roles are still really difficult to find talent for…..is that what everyone else is seeing?

I felt a physical weight lifted off my shoulders when I sent the acceptance e-mail. Hoping the mediations and trials will keep me satisfied enough to enjoy it, but regardless, I have been so stressed out by billables since Covid hit that I don’t even care. Can M&A tax people exit to FP&A type of role at tier 1 or 2 tech companies?

So… two months ago I started a gig as a CD. Good agency. Very talented people. Pretty quickly I realized that my new job is kinda about keeping up with incoming emails/teams messages. I can’t handle it. For the last month I have been sleeping in, getting out of bed after 11am, like I prefer. Those notifications start coming at around 8am and all I do is press those suggested replies on teams, not even half awake, pretty much still dreaming, and it works. I’m getting lots of good feedback.

“Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.

Folks! Almost 7 weeks. I have some pain on just one side of the pelvis. Some mild lower back pain on the same side. No other major preg symptoms except fatigue. Hi there. I have been a reg nurse in a practice setting for over a decade. Just wanting to get an idea of what other practice nurses are on as a pay rate if possible as a comparison to hospital nurses as I'm keen on a shift into hospitals. I started off on 22, moved to 24 then 28. Moved jobs in order to get a pay rise and recognition and accepted and stayed on 32 for 4 years as they made excuses as to a pay rise.
