Glad not part of D and the toxic culture anymore. High performer laid off 60 days ago for no reason of mine and ready for next opportunity. Good luck everyone at D
HELP! Recently promoted M1, and a very low-performing staff is threatening to go to HR with harassment allegations as a means to protect herself from getting fired. Suggestions?
You know you're at an interesting point in life where getting fired would be the highlight of your week.
At ACN, who actually tells you you are getting laid off? HR, your CC, or Partner or a combo? Just checking for a friend of mine.
For anyone who was recently laid off: I just went though the hell that is “everything unemployment” related and made a cheat sheet on all I learned in the past month - hope this helps someone!
New Yorkers: I was recently laid off and just went though the hell that is “everything unemployment” related. I wrote a cheat sheet on all I learned (it’s hell) to hopefully spare future victims.
Intern hire set to start Oct (Healthcare/MC)... All the layoff posts have me a bit concerned, and has me considering other options. Am I overreacting?
EY has laid off huge number of Visa candidates without giving adequate notice. Some were given couple of hours as well. The company used to be very visa friendly, all the goodwill build is broken
Laid off a week ago and scared shitless. Feel depressed, worthless, and terrified I won’t find another job ever again. Just started an SSRI I won’t be able to afford once my insurance runs out.
OK, biggest fuck up of your career? Mine: I didn’t check the final proof for a supermarket print ad so there was a fridge on sale for 50 bucks. Almost got fired. Yours?
I was laid off almost a month ago and today I got an email from USCIS saying “we received correspondence for Form I-129, Petition for non immigrant worker” What does this mean?

Has anyone had unemployment benefits rejected?! I found out today that after filing for 9 weeks, they’re saying I’m ineligible due to receiving severance. I know others who received severance & got their benefits already. I’m going to appeal but welcome an advice from anyone else that has had to fight to get their money!!
Long story short: I work for a small healthcare consulting firm. Since COVID, I was going to the office once a week, every Wednesday. Today, I have put on my 2 weeks because I accepted an offer from a big 4. During my last 2 weeks, I had planned to see my family for the first week, and go to the office on my final week. Also today, my boss asks me to come in the office everyday next week. Should I say I don’t feel comfortable and just don’t go?What’s the worst it happen? Get fired lol
How’s Chiat NY / LA doing lately? Any layoffs? Which office is doing better work recently (MAL aside)

I'm a software developer with 10 years of experience, but I still feel like no one takes me seriously. In my current role, my dev lead is a man who has never programmed in a major language and has no idea what modern architecture looks like. I've basically been doing his entire job for him, but no one seems to realize it. Our team is doing great and meeting all of our deadlines now and he takes all the credit. I'm feeling ultra discouraged lately. Please tell me it gets better?
Started at my current agency in Feb. working full time, but remote. Love the company and don't have a problem sitting at home all day working, but miss office culture. Too soon to reboot the search?
Only two more work days stand between me and a week of PTO, margaritas on the beach.. Anyone else skipping Thanksgiving this year?
