I’m lateraling to another firm and I was told associates of my year make a certain salary, should I still be negotiating or is that set in stone. (Please don’t drag me if this is a dumb question 😅)

I went in-house somewhere with a very strict salary band. I didn’t negotiate (it was a dream job, and I was just so thankful for it!!), and I really regret not doing it. I at least wish I would have tried negotiating for a signing bonus.

Maybe knowing this you go in with something smaller than you otherwise would have, but I think you should still do it. And maybe others will say to still go big!

You should at least try. As long as done politely, you’re fine. You’ll regret it if you don’t ask, better to ask and be told no and know you didn’t leave money on the table.

like

What’s appropriate? 5k more? 10k?? I really don’t know.

I wish I knew this was possible. I thought my offer letter was set in stone 😭

like

Same! I’ve lateraled twice and have never negotiated!

Been interviewing with D, EY and Accenture at M level. Keep feeling a bait and switch to SC. I'm M currently. The feedback has only been that I "haven't worked on large enough projects" and that 1 yr as an SC to M timeline would allow me to "learn their capabilities, approaches, etc".

Anyone else face this? I'm a bit frustrated. High performer, MBA... How much will this effect salary, if I accept an SC vs. M offer?

I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?

Hi Everyone what is the pay scale for C2 level in India for Dynamics CRM professional professional.

I'm having a hard time getting noticed by any tech companies (big or small), I'm starting to wonder if my skills are irrelevant or I'm just not advertising myself correctly. I have a master's in engineering physics, worked for an engineering firm as a Systems engineer for 5 years doing RF design and implementation in software, and another 3 years as a research engineer doing simulation software in python for scientific satellites. I feel most of my skills are transferrable, but no luck yet

I quit. I was respectful. Thankfully, every person I have told has been so nice, and I wasn't immediately bounced out by my leadership (which has happened), but I have been surprised by my own bittersweet tears. If they actually cared, why didn't they say so sooner? I gave so much, and I was consumed by this organization. I invested in them, but my investment and dedication were not reciprocated, which is why I ever even entertained leaving. I don't know why it hurts, but it really, really does.
