I am moving geographies and so in a bit of dilemma. The hiring manager reached out for a consultant level role, a level down from my current title. She said the Sr. con role just filled up so either I could interview for consultant level position or wait for a few months when Sr. Consultant positions opens up. I have limited client facing experience since I went from backend to front end and also opportunity to move to desired geography. Not sure how to tackle this smartly. Any thoughts?
Thoughts on leaving a big 4 as salary employee, rejoining the same long term engagement immediately as a subcontractor? Client and Engagement leadership see my value, firm pays me a fraction of it.
Also, how many times do you receive an “urgent request” before the client goes on vacation? Here’s this important stuff I need done, but won’t be around to answer questions until 2 days before due.
Throughout my career, I have worked at both “traditional” and “digital” shops. My current agency would fall under traditional but also offers digital services. Our process, roles and skillsets seem way outdated but I wasn’t sure if it was just my opinion or if this is just how it works. For example, we have no CTO or tech leads. Our digital producers feel more like project managers than actual producers. Account Management is just traditional, no real digital knowledge. Feels layered and dated.
My last billable day on my client is on Wednesday but my last day with D is on Friday. Would I just bill Thursday and Friday as GAA? Deloitte
How would you compare a Client Partner role to a regular Partner role? It seems there is a lot of overlap, but I typically only see CP at smaller companies that aren’t true partnerships.
When you’ve been saying for months that the client is playing you and then the client drops a “sorry not sorry" email before Christmas 🤦🏾♂️
Snow in NYC tomorrow fun fun. How many travelers will hunker In hotel all day and how many go in to empty client office ?
Rolling off and found out it was based on performance. First project. Any success stories?
Can't tell if everyone is on the bench, or everyone is on a project. Office suddenly very crowded. 🤔
Has anyone ever been confirmed for a project and then told not to fly out yet while they review resources?
Blessing or curse: When your client is federated through Skype so they can IM you. I lean towards the curse side.
Your mgr gets negative client feedback & uses the occasion to tell you everything they hate about you but insists you stay bc you have one of the highest bill rates long term. What would you do?
BCG Fish. What is the main difference between coming in as a Project Lead and a Principal?
Please stop discussing politics on FB. Let's go back to points, hookups on client site, industry jobs etc.🙏
Worst brand, not client? Like Porta Potty.
The only time I saw the client counterpart today was in the restroom. Atleast we agree on something!!😜

Deloitte has a number of roles for Advisory Manager Financial services Risk management, one of which I've applied to. It has been 3 weeks and haven’t heard anything, is this normal or have they passed on my application? I believe I've met all their requirements in a candidate for the role.
Had a solid interview for a great company and sent a follow up email with this typo: spelt thoroughly, “thouroughly”. 🙄
Hi EY and Fishes everywhere! I might be getting an offer to join tax as an S1 (or exp. assoc), probably not being able to start until mid August based off how the process has been. However, I currently work at a mid size firm and we’re already getting into busy season. How would it look if I asked EY to postpone my start date till after 10/15 and say that I’m not ready to be thrown into a Big 4 busy season and that I don’t want to leave my current firm out to dry. Thank you all so much! @EY
I just spoke to someone at C3.ai about a Delivery Manager position. Is anyone here familiar with their recruiting process and culture/benefits? I got some information from their website but I’d appreciate some specifics.
Anyone have experience working at Chad Jones Law who can offer insight into firm culture, pay, benefits, etc.?
Question: I’ve seen so many women get in mommy mode and throw their hobbies, careers, everything to the side as soon as a baby arrive. I don’t want to do that and in my mind I feel that I’ll still get to be myself. Does being a mom naturally make you lose your previous identity? It’s hard enough trying to move up within our roles but is this naturally in us?
Currently at FAANG in a Client Solutions role. I’ve been here for 6 months, have the opportunity to potentially transition to BizOps or Product (in title, work is more implementation focused) in 6 months. Just got a Sales Strategy offer for a tech company but not FAANG. I like the team, pay is equal, and it’s remote with monthly travel. Scared of burning FAANG bridge with potential move out but also dislike my role because I hate sales and want to do strategy work. Thoughts?
What is the average starting salary for a Senior Consultant - Engagement Financial Advisor at Deloitte?

Do employers automatically put part of your bonus payout towards 401k based on your preset contribution %? Will they not do that if you’re already contributing close to the annual IRS limit?
Does switching service lines internally affect my h1b? For example going from tax to audit or consulting. Do I need a transfer, amendment, or something else? Will it set me back or cause complications in the normal timeline to green card?
