The most significant risk I see to ether/Bitcoin is private chains from small start ups and ibm. Most banks and other companies are contracting with ibm for their private chains for supply chain, trade finance, and other banking services 😕

Just finished 1L at a t4 school and have been accepted to a T50 as a transfer. Goal is to get into biglaw. If I transfer I would lose my scholarship, but this school places pretty well into biglaw, even though I already have a couple biglaw interviews through a regional job fair. Thoughts?

Joined my firm 1.5 years ago (3rd year, lit) and have been slow since Day 1. Missed my hours target last year and am on track to be just as slow this year. I am staffed on a few cases but they’re quiet right now, and I regularly ask for work just to be ignored or told “thanks, but I have nothing.” Reviews have been good, I’m just not working enough. I like the partners I work with, and the work they do, but I am scared I’ll be fired if I miss my hours again this year. Should I be looking?

How many billable hours do you aim for per month? Thinking of lateraling to a firm with no official hours target and wondering what I should be aiming for - is 170/mo (2000 per year) acceptable? But my background is in a completely different practice area that I love, and this firm told me during the interview process that I'd continue to work in that practice area. What would you do?
