I’m looking for an online therapy platform, one that preferably takes insurance. There are SO many options out there…Cerebral, BetterHelp, Headway, Talkspace, etc. has anyone had an experience with any of these? Cost is a factor for me, but at the same time I want to get a good quality of therapists. BetterHelp seems to be the leading service from what I’m reading but my only gripe is that their sessions are only 30 minutes. Has anyone tried any of these platforms consistently? Thoughts?

Cerebral heard Terrible things. Better help put me through an onboarding with a life coach and then proceeeded to tell me there are no therapists in my area so essentially wasted my time. Idk about the others.

are you opposed to searching for a therapist outside of these? i fully acknowledge that it’s a daunting task as i’ve had to do it myself, but i found a therapist who i see every week via video appointment and all i pay is my regular copay. it’s a 45 min session, and he’s amazing.

if you haven’t already, you should check to see what your copay would be, and if it’s reasonable, that should be incentive to search outside of those platforms. i work in health tech so i’m a big supporter of what some of these companies are doing, but sometimes it could be easier (and better quality) to go the traditional route.

like

oh got it, yes i completely understand! that’s when these platforms really make sense. it’s daunting, but don’t give up, even if you have to “date” a few therapists. it’ll be so worth it when you find the right one. 🙏🏼

Been using BetterHelp and it’s been great so far! Normally do 45 mins to a little less than an hour. She tells me to schedule at the end of the day so we have more time to chat

smart

I’ve been using Betterhelp for over a year now. It took 3 tries to find someone I click with. We meet for an hour on a weeknight and I’m usually her last patient in the evening. It’s not covered by insurance, but I qualified for a rate of $68 per week. She’s moved to private practice, so we’re looking to move me to her practice as a telehealth patient, since it’s covered by insurance. She lives further away from me, so I wouldn’t have found her without Betterhelp.

I think it depends on the therapist. She made it work for me. She said we’d start with an hour and then we could scale it back, but we haven’t scaled it back yet.

helpfulfunny

Yes. I recommend find an online therapist. Use better help or talk space. Have a few sessions then dm them if you can pay cash. Most have private practices on the side.

In person is better. Search for providers via your insurance site. You’ll be done fast, and they’ll accept Telehealth too.

I feel validated, finally, but I can’t help feeling grief too over so much lost potential and unnecessary failure, especially in law school and my career.

In addition to having to pay an extra 15.3% taxes, I’d be missing out on the company benefits (they offer full time employees: equity, computers, insurance, 4 weeks holiday, and money towards learning/development…and no 401k).

Hey Guys,
I have a close friend who is facing a small dilemma which is not allowing him to decide if he should join NIIT or a European company as a Manager recruiter. At NIIT he is supposed to recruit call centre professionals whereas the other company is an IT consulting and service provider. Also in the European company he gets to manage an internationally diverse team. The salary offered is almost the same. He is confused majorly because NIIT is a brand and the other is not. Please help

Also, how much do you give away? If they're minis, then several, and 1 each if full sized?
Do you give them just to the kids or to anyone who's dressed up, including the accompanying adult?
Why is distributing candy so stressful 🥲
