Define “easier” and what that means for you.

You’re going to have to start this company

Define “my” are you a he/she/theirs?

By ‘’my healthcare” do you mean a start up with better health plans being offered to employees?

What is this question?

Today I accomplished my goal of $10,000 straight in my high yield savings account and I am so proud of myself😭 I have my 401k but had to pay out of pocket for a few things in the past year so savings depleted, but now I have $10,000 that’s all mine that I can access anytime if I need it. Next up is $20k, then $30k, and so on!

Hello - not sure if there are any local Boston UX/Product Designers interested in contract work with a boutique Digital Transformation agency but we are recruiting for 2 open roles contract to hire. This agency is in downtown Boston by North Station and looking for people that can create end to end and have a unique interest in UX plus healthcare mobile work. They are seeking local candidates only who can come in 3 days per week to work with their existing team of 10. Happy to tell you more.

I’m rotating on to a new account and I just got back from maternity leave...I feel the need to prove myself but don’t want to lose the 1-2 hours I get with my son after daycare. Tips?

What would you do if you were me? Late 30s. Burned out. 1.4M invested in index funds (75% in in post tax accounts). 4k/month fixed housing expense. Untilites/insurance/subscriptions at 1k/month. After that it's food, clothing, and one-off expenses. Dual income family of 4. Monthly burn rate gets up to 9k when we're not paying attention so I'm not traditional FIRE yet. Coasting options? Sabbatical? A few more years in the salt mines? Rental properties or other time suck investments?

Currently am contributing money into both 401K and Roth 401K. Should I also open up a Roth IRA?

Do we know if there is a sponsoring partner that oversees this benefit/ program that I could have more of a heart to heart conversation with? Not getting too far with the general email box and admin contact. From the benefit policy documentation, my understanding is that EY reimburses employees for surrogacy / adoption related expenses up to $50k lifetime. However, anything related to IVF or medical procedures has to go through insurance (also limited to $50k lifetime benefit). Continued…

Moving out of the US for 5-6 years, does it make sense to keep the 401k as is or withdraw it and pay the fine and penalty as it could still be used as a 25-30% down payment for a house ? The balance is under 70k right now. I will be moving back after 5-6 years.

Hi Fishes, I have recently joined PwC SDC as an Associate 2. Wanted to know that is there any smartphone reimbursement or mobile phone program here. TIA!

Hey y’all. Does RSMs 401k plan allow after tax contributions and in-service withdrawals? Anyone doing mega back door ira?

I have been an adjuster for almost 5 years, although I have loved almost all of my time adjusting and find it fun, in a sense, I am so ready to take my skills into underwriting. Does anyone have any tips for transitioning from adjusting to underwriting? I know this will sound cliche but I find myself to be very passionate about insurance and I do well when interviewed, but it is difficult to get a response for underwriting applications because they all “require” underwriting experience.

Quitting my job soon and am thinking about becoming a therapist/counsellor for lawyers and other high stress professions. Taking a poll on whether you would be attracted to the idea of a therapist who worked in biglaw and could speak to burnout, perfectionism and other mental health issues we typically face as lawyers. Thanks :)

Let’s hear your recommendations for upscale team dinners. Preferably a place with a private dining area, but not a strict requirement. Think Fiola Mare, Blue Duck Tavern, RPM Italian, Rasika, etc. TIA

Help me ask for a raise in my upcoming performance review? In sum, my company’s HQ is in Texas and I feel I’m being paid a Texas wage when I live in Los Angeles (the role is remote). We do have a San Francisco office and I want to ask my boss to match me what staff are making there. As that’s more comparable. Based off of Glassdoor, my salary matches Texas’s exactly and SF has the same role at 10k more. Should I show him the Glassdoor page? Don’t want to come off too strong. Please advise

I have a friend who graduated with a CS degree in '17. Since then he's sporadically looked for work in the field but not found any, and has worked as a supervisor. His coding skills have atrophied substantially. I've been encouraging him to grind leetcode and apply for at least 10 jobs a day, I'm not sure how much hes really doing. Is there any chance of him finding work? Would taking a bootcamp help him? At this point I'm considering advising him to move on.

Guys I’d appreciate your perspectives on this: how big of an asshole am I for staying in the interview process for a few interesting opportunities despite having received an offer from one of my top choices (80% chance will accept). I’m a first year recruiting for summer 2021 internships FYI.
