I’m looking to confirm/check that a New York attorney can represent a Delaware entity for general corporate and transactional work. Does anyone have a direction they can point me to to find the answer? I have looked through the NY ethics rules and opinions but didn’t have any luck. Thank you in advance!

Thank you!

Are you representing them in New York? If so, yes. If you are representing them in Delaware, no.

Agree. This is 100% typical for corporate law but the fact you don't know this and don't have someone to ask makes me think you should not be doing corporate work....

My background is in tech transactional. I joined a cybersecurity SaaS startup at the end of last year and now also handle more generalist matters in addition to all things commercial-related. I have a number of books on contracts that I’ve found super helpful over the years (The Tech Contracts Handbook, A Manual of Style for Contract Drafting, Sign Here, etc.). Can anyone recommend books they’ve found helpful for L&E matters, privacy matters, product matters, or marketing/advertising matters?

I’m considering a credential in elementary special education-mild/moderate. I really enjoyed the time I had when I was a sub covering special Ed classes, but that was just a couple of days at a time. Can anyone let me know if you recommend this path now that you are experienced?

My company switched to WFH/ hybrid permanently which enabled employees to relocate to their dream state as a personal choice & still work for the company. The only requirement is that they return in person 4x a year at their own expense. All other work related travel expenses other than these 4 in person meetings are covered by the company. It was known before accepting the WFH option/ moving.

Some employees are finding this unfair/ unreasonable, company should pay. What are your thoughts?

So I got a job offer for a firm making one third more than what I do now. BUT the glass door reviews are terrible (all negative one very recent) saying that the bosses use you and abuse you. Small firm but I want to pívot into practicing L&E (I currently do construction defect and insurance defense). Sooo Do I accept the offer and hope it’s not as bad as the reviews and if so, stick it out until I get enough experience to jump ship?
