I want to get to know the local private companies. I worked at a private company with 2-3k employees before my MBA. They had an amazing culture, but limited progression opportunities. I'm thinking about looking for a smaller company (couple hundred to couple thousand employees) in the Dallas area and looking to find an amazing culture.

I'm barely a year into my role, but is it okay to leave for a higher position at a different agency and for an account that is more interesting for me? While my current agency is great, the account is very repetitive and prescriptive. However it has allowed me to learn and grow a lot in my role. I've recently graduated from masters (1YOE) in Canada, and managed to start in a medium-senior role (business intelligence developer, 71k a year). Similar job offers I receive pay 90k-100k a year.

I've been put on complex projects and feel like I've proved myself, but I'm not sure how I can justify such a salary increase, or how much. Any success around from leveraging an outside offer?

I recently graduated college last year and am trying to pursue certifications to help build up my resume. I currently hold an AWS SAA certification and Azure AZ -900. I am looking to try and obtain the CISSP next. Is there something else I should start with before diving into CISSP or should I direct my studying and focus in that direction?

I'm a solid software engineer; I get the job done, I'm reliable, I work hard, i can accomplish almost any technical task with enough time, I'm supposed to be smart; I went to MIT.

But I am in awe of those 10x programmer types, because -- as the name would imply-- they finish everything 10x faster than me. I don't understand how they do it, and I am super envious. I want to be like these guys. But how? Is it even learnable or is it all just God-given talent? How can I become like them?
