America Needs You is a fantastic organization that supports promising, low-income, first generation college students with professional development. They have opportunities for drop-in mentors a few times a month and it plugs you into a great network of passionate, dedicated young professionals in Chicago (including many consultants). Feel free to DM if interested in more info.
If you're female I highly recommend the Junior League of Chicago! A great organization that allows you to see a lot of different community organizations and lean in where you have most interest.
