I’m making 20-40% under YOE peers at other firms, incl those w/ same focus (Energy/Indust). This month is my 1st opp for annual salary negotiation & my metrics are strong. Any tips on how to initiate/sell a raise to get close(r) to a 20% boost? Or should I run for the door now that this comp gulf is obvious?

I have been selected at citi but HR is unable to release offer letter. This is because I have worked for citi as contractor or consultant in past but I don't remember my SP ID or GP ID which Citi provides to its temporary employees. If they cannot extract it due to some reason, will they release my offer letter? Please clarify this.

Is it wise to negotiate a "take it or leave it" offer? Also, when there is such an offer, do you think that company really looking to hire you? It does not encourage any communication which gives an impression that they do not need you but if you join at their offer, they are okay. To put things in perspective, offer is inline with industry average but slightly lower than what I am making right now.
