I’m in a same sex relationship. My partner’s family couldn’t be more welcoming, accepting, and loving. I know I should be insanely grateful for this - and I am. (My family is the same in terms of acceptance.) But there’s a part of me that wishes they were different. They’re not super educated, some have very different political views, and part of my can’t imagine being around them all the time in the future with kids, etc. We live quite close to them so see them often. Am I a total jerk?

Any tips for prepping on a move to a new role? Starting new role at Accenture (tech delivery), coming from industry, no idea what to expect. I mostly worked on smaller scale projects, a lot of them internal.

I’m currently a maxed out GS-15 Step 10. Masters degree is Electrical/Computer Engineering, but now a Program Manager for a high visibility area. I have 10 years to reach full retirement age (57). Why do I feel like I’m limiting myself? What would the pros and cons be of seeking private industry employment at this point? What would an equivalent salary be taking into account pension, etc? Anyone else been in, or is in this situation?

I was recruited for a lead strategy position. I did the interviews, i was excited, recruiter and interviewers seemed excited; one of them even told the recruiter I was “amazing” … still, the interview process has taken forever and now I am being ghosted — wtf?! first time ever! This is a major agency, any idea of what might be going on?

What do strategist do at in-house (day to day granular work wise)? Is it usually referring to marketing team? There’s no “strategist” role at the company but I was asked to map out consumer journey from asset stand point. I’m a creative but want to switch to more strategy planning role because that’s what my manager expects me to do certain time. How can I meld these two roles successfully?
