I’m in a same sex relationship. My partner’s family couldn’t be more welcoming, accepting, and loving. I know I should be insanely grateful for this - and I am. (My family is the same in terms of acceptance.) But there’s a part of me that wishes they were different. They’re not super educated, some have very different political views, and part of my can’t imagine being around them all the time in the future with kids, etc. We live quite close to them so see them often. Am I a total jerk?

I was recruited for a lead strategy position. I did the interviews, i was excited, recruiter and interviewers seemed excited; one of them even told the recruiter I was “amazing” … still, the interview process has taken forever and now I am being ghosted — wtf?! first time ever!
