You will definitely need to rest. Rather than drive and work that much within the same day, alternate a drive day and then a work day. That will break it up more and allow for more rest. Be safe & good luck with your move.
Thank you!
Cant take off? Seems like a hassle
if you can do it in 10-14 days, just try to time it so you get 2 weekends (4 full driving days) and then during the week work regular EST hours and drive 3-5 hours after work. Once you start going back time zones you will get more hours driving after work as well
Not to be negative, but this sounds stressful. Unless you’re incredibly amazing at setting boundaries and separating your work life from your personal life, I don’t see how this would be enjoyable. I just drove cross country to CA a few months ago. I loved it and would do it again, but to me it’s really important to enjoy the journey and be fully present. If you’re going to be thinking about work after logging off it might even be hazardous if you end up driving distracted. Can you do it? Yes. Should you? Probably not. But I guess to answer your question. Work in the morning (6-10) drive for a few hours and get lunch at whatever town you end up in or plan to be at, and then keep driving until dinner time, explore the town, then work from your hotel another couple of hours. Repeat.
