Could you please recommend some courses to learn that do not require much coding.
Currently, I am a QA working on manual testing. Automation testing is not something I am interested as it requires Java.
I am terrified of java coding.

I love worked in tech my whole life so have a great resume, I’m moving to the USA in the next few months, I don’t have a university degree. Am I screwed or are tech companies in the US less concerned about degrees and will factor experience more?

What opportunities of growth do Sales Engineers have? All I’m thinking of is SE management but even that requires x number of years of leading SEs. How do you beat that or get someone to consider you for those roles?

J1 & J2 together make about 200k although there is no room for growth in either but WLB is amazing (< 10hrs per week). Stuck contemplating if I should abandon overemploy to chase promotions seeing that I could eventually get to my current salary with my job. Just feeling a little stuck over all. (My friend is working in DS and I got to know that the policies are not good and organization is forcing people to come to office and they are not easy to adopt).

Are you killing your career if you drop down from big law to mid law? 4.5 years in and I can’t deal anymore. Not even sure what my career goals are so maybe doesn’t matter. 2 cents?

Are signing bonuses still a thing? For a 7th yr M&A associate in major market / top firm? Not wedded to my current firm and scored a six figure signing bonus a year ago. Wouldn’t be opposed to another large pay day (and ramp down / ramp up hours) now that I’ve passed the claw back period.

Anyone here who considered/worked in consulting (MBB/T2) before law school? What was the reason you decided to commit to the law route given fairly similar pay yet arguably better WLB, exit ops, and more stimulating work?

Routinely working until 2am 3 days a week, and until 4am at least one day a week. I’m missing some fake deadlines that I could probably hit by staying up an extra hour or two but I don’t care. Help??
