I’m narrowing down my choices for grad school and it’s exciting yet nerve racking. Which would you recommend for a tech specialized MBA between UCLA & UCBerkeley? They seem to both be relatively closely ranked. Suggestions on what to look out for before deciding? Also, if an alum would like to chat that would be great tysm 🤗

Berkley is close to a lot of innovation + everyone is SO nice.

Probably can’t go wrong with either though. I’m assuming you have offers from both?

like

Berkeley by a long shot imo, Haas is much better

Berkeley for tech for sure!

like

Haas for tech for sure! UCLA is great for media/entertainment focus. I didn’t attend either but I worked in SF post MBA and lots of Haas alum tech folks around SF.

like

Haas. I didnt know Anderson was ranked as close to Haas.

like

Anderson alumna here. A ton of my classmates went into tech, mainly to Google, Amazon, Facebook, Microsoft, VMWare, Adobe, Apple

I don’t think you can go wrong with either! I’d mainly look at school cultures and geographies.

Strategy & Ops at large tech company (non-FAANG) - 120K TC (San Francisco)

Rotational Program at Industrial Firm - 170K TC (Chicago)

Industrial Company:
- Would pay for grad school
- Comp is insane
- Work is more niche
- Company culture is rough
- MBB / tech exit
- smaller less known company

Tech Company:
- Cool company
- well known
- Enter tech early on
- Salary lower than other by a lot
- PM / Biz Ops exits

Both companies have good MBA placement. What would you do?

I'm at a career juncture and have decided on a career in anti-money laundering as my new path. I'm also highly interested in additional education to further my career and am eyeing graduate school. Which is best? A law degree or a master's in international relations? Those are where my interests lie. I keep reading that JDs are valued in compliance but am wondering if a different graduate program is better for my goals. I already plan to obtain the CAMS certification. Thank you!

Hi, we're searching for a job in HR for my wife. She's an MBA from India and has 10 years of work experiences across various HR roles in FMCG and Tech. Her last role was a HR BP and India site lead for a US based semiconductor major.
Is CIPD necessary to get a comparable role in the UK? While we undersrand it's a new market, would she necessarily need to start from a basic role again? It's difficult to balance studies, work and manage a 2 y.o. Any pointers or job openings would be appreciated.

Partners or whomever can help me understand about billing and hours. To keep things simple, let’s say you only have one staff to work 1,700 billable hours a year on a $60k salary and you have only one job that and the rate charged to the client is $300/hour and an projected hours budget of 1,700 hours. So ideally you would have revenue of $510k. If the staff takes less time partners make less money and if they take more time partners make more money while the staff keeps the same salary?

Hi ladies! Need your opinion and advice on a slightly awkward topic
I recently started dating this guy. He is really good in bed (well endowed, good stamina, great foreplay, etc). But he doesn’t cum after sex. Our sex routine normally ends at either of us getting tired after a long run but not him cuming. We’ve been together for the last 4-5 days and have done it many times (early phases of a relationship). And he came only once.
Is this something I should be worried about? Does this mean

Ok so. I have been on this journey for almost a year now to try and 'get to know and love myself' and I'm not there yet. I separated from my ex in March of 2020 and divorce was finalized in October 2020. I'm still sad, lost, angry etc. I'm trying/tried therapy, meditation, ayurveda, self help videos, books, but I'm not happy with myself and I don't think I know myself. I want to be happy alone before I meet anyone new. Any tips or advice on how I can effectively accomplish this? Thank you!
