Hi guys I have an offer from Accenture and no issues in terms of CTC, job profile or other things. The only thing I am skeptical about is the job security. Do they really get rid of employees in a regular basis or the covid situation was a one time measure? This would probably be the last switch in my career and security would be of utmost importance to me. Please advise

Additional Posts in Women in Sales
I was reminded today, while listening to Conversations with Women In Sales podcast, to eliminate the word SORRY from my day to day communications.
SORRY for bothering you do you have a moment to talk?
SORRY can you repeat that?
SORRY can we reschedule?
SORRY I can’t talk right now.
As women we lean heavily on this word because we are taught to be ‘nice’ and therefore we utilize SORRY as a way to soften our communication. Anyone else use this too often?

Pretty sure my company offers something similar to the first scenario you posted. 16 weeks sounds much better, though.
Took maternity leave 1 yeah ago with HRBlock as a district general manager... here's a 2 part answer (I took 3 months)
In regards to was I bother by my employees or boss, worried about my job while a was gone, not at all my manager and the company was soo good with that regard.
Pay wise, it was kinda a mess.
Big companies use insurance companies to pay and handle the leaves (which makes sence) in this case the adjuster dealing with my case was a pain... so for viginal birth technically you only need 6weeks to recover. My company explicitly said I could take 12 weeks paid off for parental leave. 8 weeks pass by and all is good. Then I resived my se onf to last paycheck of my maternity leave and is short, so I was like you know what. I'm going back in 2 weeks I will deal with that in company time since it's their fault, recived my was maternity leave check and same thing...
I go back to work, eventually I'm talking to my boss tell him thank you etc. And mention that I have to contact the insurance company because my last 2 checks were short, he mentioned to me that at week 6 the adjuster was telling him that my check were going to start being short then my boss ask of he could just use my vacation/pto time so they would be affected (with was very nice of him) so they did but that ran out too...
Long story short, I complain and argue until I got tired and never got the money missing from the 2 checks. Because APPARENTLY when they said 3 months paid maternity leave they meant to say 6 weeks paid 100%, 6 60% or something like that, I was just luckymy boss made him use my pto so i only last money on 2 . (C-section 8week at 100%)
I would suggest to make sure your are clear on
A. How long they will hold your job aka you will have something to come back to.
B. For the weeks that they approve for you to be off what % of your pay will you get, per week and get that in a email...
C.Lastly make sure they don't make any of this contingent on a doctor sign off, that you are not able to come back to work because they will also say you are okay to come back at the 6 weeks V birth/8 C-section.
I wish that maternity leaves were better, hope this helps
I was at salesforce previously, they offered 6 months at 80% base pay. My current company gives 20 weeks full base pay and the option to come back at 4 days a week for a month, at full pay.
I didn’t take maternity at salesforce but they only pay the base pay during leave period. Same with my current company.
I think it depends on the state I was an AE in NJ and my company offered no maternity leave. Also probably why I lost my job 5 months after coming back they said my sales were low when I was out for 4 months🤦🏻♀️
Unfortunately it’s legal because in New Jersey it is an “at will employment”. I did get a lawyer and my severance increase from two weeks to three months but it’s really unfortunate
