I’m new to the county I practice in and am trying to get involved in different committees/groups so I can find where I fit in...but many ppl are so cliquey and groups r male dominated. Any tips?

Got an offer from company A, more interested in another company, but last chat about 6weeks ago with CCO of company B said they weren’t hiring right away but they wanted to reach out to people so when hiring freeze ended they could hiring immediately. Is it okay to email them about offer from company A, and see if I can get a timeline on their hiring and gauge their interest? Do I contact the CCO or their recruiter? Best practices to go about this

There is a partner in our office that routinely discusses associate performance with other associates. For example, she will tell Associate A that Associate B isn’t performing and/or hitting hours, etc. Recently, I learned that she has been discussing “issues” she had with my work product two years ago (I no longer do any work for her). Interviewed with firm. Crazy close to home. Firm does my specialty. Seems like a good fit (I have ptsd from previous firms so gun shy). I think I got low balled salary wise. Like $25k less than what I am making now. I would have 4+ years more experience than any of their associates. Their most senior associate has like 4 kids and has a stay at home wife. I find it hard to believe they are paying that associate as low as they offered me. Probably going to counter but would it be wrong to compare

I am a “paralegal” but I am admitted in 2 different states and negotiate and help draft agreements. I have an LLM and worked for one year at another law firm that also had entertainment law cases. How should I approach to earn my “attorney” position and higher salary?

Just realized a firm partner has a pattern of treating female employees poorly. Except for the associate who brings in the big money, of course. But it's a trend, and the only reason he doesn't take it as far with me as he does with others is because I do EVERYTHING and he is screwed if I just up and leave. Anyone used Botox to treat TMJ/teeth-grinding? My dentist said i should get a mouth guard and potentially do some physical therapy. I seem to be doing a lot of clenching/teeth grinding in the night. I was googling other options and came across a suggestion for Botox. I already get Botox in my forehead for cosmetic purposes so I'm not worried about Botox generally, but unsure how common it is in the jaw for this medical purpose.
