Hello folks, can someone please tell me about the laptop policy in JPMC... I heard they ask you to connect to remote desktop via your personal machine
I got an offer from epam but confused whether it’s epam systems or anywhere.
As I have been given fixed salary and remote work. But on offer it states EPAM systems.
Could someone please let me know who has joined epam anywhere recently if on offer it’s mentioned as anywhere?
On my interview invites as well it was mentioned anywhere.
My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Then sit here and can’t figure out why…
Interested to hear how many folks here are still working remote. Has anyone lost a job opportunity to the salary transparency law?
I recently was told I’m “unhirable for remote work” because im in CO. (Which is fine, sounds like I dodged a bullet anyway).
Curious about everyone else’s thoughts and experiences.
Has anyone tried turing jobs here?
It is really hard to find C++ jobs these days.
Are there any remote jobs even available?

Love some advice on how to reply to my CMO asking to move a weekly meeting to either 7:30 or 8:30 PM to accommodate 2 developers in India. On average these run 60-90 minutes. As we have become permanent remote staff, meeting are getting later and later and I still have meetings starting at 9AM everyday. I think a meeting starting this late is unreasonable but I don’t want to be the only person that speaks up. I know at least 2 other coworkers feel the same and don’t feel comfortable speaking up
Is it normal for big companies to issue offer letters without the quotas, and the commission % payout fully detailed?
This a public traded company, and I find it so odd that important details like these are missing.

i am thinking to do some business on amazon and get side earnings. i am working with a company full time and on work permit here in sweden. i plan to apply for PR after 3.5 yrs. is there anything that i need to be vigilant about while doing side business? as far as i know new migration laws now allow u to work part time or do business besides ur main job as long as there is no conflict of interest and my employer also has the same policy.
As independence is heavily scrutinized in audit (and tax/advisory), what types of sidegigs have you seen Big4 firms approve? KPMG uses an example of “teaching a fitness class” in the annual independence confirmation as to what all requires approval (basically any and everything). I’ve dabbled in wedding planning. Is this likely to be approved? Exactly what all information does the firm ask you when you’re seeking approval for a side gig?
Hi. I am a 26 yo physical therapist from Nyc. I leave my house at 6:30 am and get back at 6:30pm. I spend 3 hours on my commut which sucks. by the time I arrive home, I just feel so tired and poor. I also feel like PTs dont get paid that much anymorr because of inflation. I feel “poor”. I love being a PT but thinking about the future, having a house, having kids.. i dont think being a PT can sustain it all. i think our max would be around $90k in the clinical aspect. I want an online side gig or
I have approx $340 income from a side project. Did not receive 1099 do I need to report???

Who's got a good side gig to share?
Any folks with side gigs in content creation and the influencer marketing space. I’ve made the most I’ve ever made this year (>10k) and got a bump in pay. Preparing to navigate tax season and looking for resources and best practices. Our content work is connected to an LLC and thinking we should engage an expert for advice, especially since my day job also saw a bump in pay.
Tried new side hustle. UberEats delivery. I live in core downtown, so there are lots of restaurant right next and lots of apartment building. So most of it is 400m-600m walk, and mostly during the time when I was anyways taking break from the work and going out for walks.
I figured out optimal is 2-3 deliveries per session which takes 20-25 mins of walking and I clock 5K steps on Fitbit per session. I reject all deliveries greater than 500m.
Thinking to do 3 such regular walking sessions day.
I was wondering if there were any software engineers that would want to potentially help me with a side gig I'm trying to start. Essentially it would be a heat map for a particular purpose. If you think you would be able to help or want to lmk!
Working 9-5 remote, looking for anything else to do virtually to help make side income. I currently serve in the evenings sometimes and make great money, but it’s exhausting on my body as they are 8 hour shifts after 5pm. I’m pretty skilled but I’m 21 so I just don’t know where to begin for side gigs/just joined fishbowl today. Anyone have any beginner advice?

I want to start earning some extra money on the side by applying some of my skills that I normally don't use at my regular work - excel vba macros, technical writing and data analysis.
I have tried many freelance sites but never got a project. They all seem very overwhelming and crowded. In 2023 I want to focus on one site and invest all my energy into it. Any suggestions where to start?
PS: Please give me a ❤️ to kick start my journey on Fishbowl! 😊
Not sure if this works:
If you can covert your customer service skills to video format and can create a course for tech customer service, I will place your course under our courses - You will keep 80% revenue generated from your course.
Another option: Create your own Udemy account and sell your skills. Keep 100% what you make but option A you already have access to 5000+ students in Udemy and 75,000+ YouTube Subscribers, where we will promote your course.
Basically we promote your skills to our own members vs you making and building a community from scratch.

Definitely Upwork, you can also do market research like surveys etc for some extra cash
Has anyone ever actually made money doing surveys? Any good apps/sites that are legit?
