How adaptable your production skills are to other roles somewhat depend on the tasks you are expected to perform at your agency as not all agencies have the same job description for the producers.
Personally I think the best agency producers are those who handle three skills: financial/business management, people/project management /team building and and creative input/influence. Your ability to be inhabit all three of these worlds will strengthen your ability to expand your career or may help decide on a future path.
Additionally, I recommend that you learn aboit all aspects of the film process and also about more than just film/video so you can be more versatile. Your ability to also handle still photography, animation, digital production make you a stronger candidate for places and projects that are financially challenged and enable you to have your team pivot to another solution that might be a great addition asset or alternative solution.
Find areas of film/video production that fascinate you, hopefully a few aspects that give you joy and take some deep dives. Do you love cinematography, the editing process, mixing….
Curious to know more about you and why you chose to change from the account team to production and what you are loving about production.

agree with a lot of what producer says here. however, i support input from juniors. good ideas can come from anywhere and juniors may not have agency experience but may offer other skills and perspectives and contacts. yes juniors need more experience and to gain that experience they should be asked for input and allowed to own a portion of a project or whole projects.
Following - I’m newish on the agency side too.

thanks for sharing more about yourself and your path so far.
think about investing in your personal growth in different production disciplines should give you a lot to dive into which should aid in building patience.
meet people in vfx (as well as in other area) and know that if you aren’t patient vfx is likely to be frustrating.
Make a short film in a weekend on your phone. You’ll learn more about filmmaking than you will in a decade of being an agency producer.
Thanks for this! I’ll try it out sometime.
Freelance is amazing, maybe also look into still photography producing. It’s way more approachable than line producing video.
Freelancing also involves experience. Make sure you get that first before going freelance. Even if you work under a Sr as a freelancer, they have no reason to actually teach you since you’ll come and go.
Film producer? Let’s leave that title to those who actually produce films i.e. PGA members.
