I think a lot of, if not most, people celebrate it more as a commercial holiday than a religious one
So send them a Festivus/Yuletide/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Solstice/Holiday/Noodlemas/Thanks-for-thinking-of-me card or gift.
I’m atheist but I still celebrate Christmas as a cultural holiday. Similar to how a lot of Jewish-by-descent-only peeps celebrate Hanukkah.
No...just say thanks!
Nah, a thank you will suffice. If you want to make a gesture you can write them a thank + happy holidays card
NO! You can say thank you for the gesture, I really appreciate it (Jew here). :)
Btw- annoyed enough that I have to get gifts for my partner’s family and my sister in law, etc. Obligatory with family, not with random people who don’t pay attention to the fact that you don’t celebrate Christmas. Hanukkah is not a big extravaganza, so it’s unnatural for me.
It’s a nice gesture to return a small gift as well, but by no means necessary or expected.
It’s a good problem to have
I say merry christmas to my friends who are Catholic or Christian (muslim here)
