Do you think most tech companies look for candidates who have exact experience for the roles they're hiring for? Or do you think some are willing to take risks on candidates that they like but don't necessarily fit the bill perfectly? I haven't had success breaking out of my current function, but feel I'd be qualified to do a lot of different things if companies were just willing to take a chance on me.

Currently 1-1.5 years out of college, working at a T2 firm doing commercial due diligence work. Have gotten some offers but confused about which one to take:

1. OW PE team, joining in a position higher than at my current firm, basically skipping a year. OWs PE practice as far as I know doesn’t have huge market share
2. McKinseys PE practice but coming in a position lower than where I currently am
3. Stay at my current firm which is experiencing high growth

End goal is to move to the buy side

Cont… Friday came and went no communication. I allowed another weeks to pass and then sent another follow up email. She responded by apologizing not following up and informed me that recruiting handles that part of the process . What i didn’t mention was she had told me that if I get the position she would let me know and if I didn’t get it she would still give me a call . Another two weeks passed and I try emailing her and now she has stopped responding to my emails . Don’t understand this …..

I’m getting married in two weeks and going on my honeymoon the week after. I’m starting to worry so much about everything that could go wrong and derail everything, one of our parents getting sick, my fiancé or I getting sick so that we can’t enjoy this wonderful life moment. My spouse and I are applying for a new mortgage and my lender looked up our credit scores and suggested that the mortgage is done only for me and not include my spouse as my score was in the top bracket. She is earning as well and i wanted to understand the risk of taking mortgage only on me:
1 - will we end up having issues filing for taxes jointly and show deductions etc?
2 - will there be issues with joint ownership (title) if the mortgage does not include us both?

I interviewed at KPMG, CTC part already discussed, I clearly mentioned I’m holding offer and I’m expecting 20-30% hike on my offer and he agreed and proceeds my profile.
I cleared 1st technical round and second round interviewers asked my expectations and same I replied. Then he talk very unprofessional and also he is explaining how much they have effort for conducting one interview and here you’re doing shopping. He ended the interview.
