This! From this point onwards you might have to log off at any minute. I had to stop immediately, a few weeks before initial plan, following a doc visit. So start handing over ownership, and have more of a “supporting” role to manage the transition.

Good luck, mama! Set boundaries and take the time YOU and baby need. I’m in a similar situation at 6mo and it’s so hard... but pushing back is the only way we normalize this not being an OK way to treat colleagues in their last trimester (or frankly, at all).

Merrill Advisors - I have a client with an account at Merrill and am told that they have a money fund available which insures up to an aggregate of $5,000,000 in FDIC coverage. Was getting yelled at by senior manager via Zoom for going over budget. Didn’t respond, just dropped from the call Intentionally, due to the tone/ aggression shown. Gave him 3 minutes to calm down and rejoined the zoom call. He settled down and adjusted his tone. Do you guys think I need to report to HR this behavior or just let it go? So I just got the most fantastic news and I'm not allowed to tell anyone yet. But I'm about to BURST, soooooo... I turn to my anonymous social media outlet. Lol. My brother and his wife called me today to tell me they're going to have their first baby!!! I can't begin to express what a HUGE deal this is for them and for my family, and the long, difficult road they have been down to get here. I cannot wait to be an aunt!!! 🥰🥰🥰

I work with several people with kids and I have noticed quite often that they completely disregard any issues of people with no kids and try to one up work life imbalance conversations with stories of them being parents. It must be hard being a parent but I don’t think people at work should be treated differently or given any additional consideration just because they have a kid. You already get parental leave so If I’m expected to work 12hr I ask the same to be expected from my peers with kids.
