Leave. Major consulting firms are going to have severely reduced comp increases for the next 1-3 years so you might not even get there in 5 years if you stay. Chase the money

35k raise this shouldn’t even be a question

Why do you think you won’t hit the comp for 3-4 years at Accenture? I’d reckon you prolly get there in less than 2 years especially if you get promoted this year

This would be very low for federal with a clearance.

I’m in corporate finance so the jumps aren’t as large and promotions aren’t as frequent.

Can I ask what you are doing at the startup? I’m on the consulting side but I am chasing similar jumps and loyalty doesn’t have that

Was told I’d only have one round (4 interviews), each split 50/50 on case/behavioral. This is for an Associate position and will be interviewing with AP/P/SP level. Is this typical? Since I see most people have multiple rounds.

Looking for some advice. I made 150k on GME but then lost 100k in the hype. Despite coming out net positive I feel like an idiot for being where I started after gaining so much. I recognize I broke a lot of my trading rules and I essentially was trading on emotion which lead to my loss. If it matters my portfolio is about 80k and I make about the same in salary. So this was the most money I’ve ever handled or even traded. Advice?

Have been pinged for a possible role as Director of Operations at a promising looking startup with a 50%% pay increase & equity. It looks like an amazing opportunity.. but my husband and I have just started trying for our first kid, and I'm not sure about leaving the stability and benefits of Big 4, even though I feel like I have run out of career growth here. Has anyone changed jobs at a similar point, or worked at a startup as a new mom, that might be able to share perspective or opinions?
