Best hotel to stay in Dubai for projects?
I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

Once that plane door shuts, flight attendants have more power than any god you can pray to

Did you try telling them you’re a partner?
M&A tax partner?

Also, that’s not what “sitting duck” or “runway” means
A “sitting duck” is a duck that’s about to get shot because they’re easy to hit. If you’re just saying that you’re sitting there going no where, that’s not an appropriate saying to use.
A “runway” is the straight bit of pavement from which you take off and on which you land. Everything else has a different name: taxiway, run up / holding area, parking ramp, etc.
Coincidently, if you were really sitting on the “runway” this whole time, you’d be a “sitting duck” for collision with a landing aircraft. Just bringing this full circle!
Interesting, but why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?
No that’s pretty normal protocol. When they do get a takeoff spot they don’t want to have to go through all the predeparture checks again and potentially lose the slot.
Makes sense. Then I guess I have been lucky to not have been spotted on the few occasions I’ve had extended delays off the gates.
Normal. Once you’ve departed from the gate they’ve got you on tight lock until the fasten seatbelt sign comes off above 10,000 feet.
MD1 did you even read my comment?
Federal law. If the captain shuts the engines off he can say it’s ok, otherwise no you can’t use it, nor your phone for that matter and it should be in airplane mode,
And it ain’t worth the fight you won’t win but you could be deplaned or even prosecuted
🤣🤣🤣🤣

Depends. Sometimes the captain will go park somewhere, turn off the seatbelt sign, and generally put everyone ‘at ease’ rather than ‘at attention.’ But sometimes as others say they want to be ready at the drop of a pin so they keep the cabin buttoned up.
