You know how to design ppt slides and they know how to design Excel workbooks. It’s really not that different.
Do you want to join them? Do you want to learn modeling? Not sure what you are asking for ;)
Not just you. We are glorified PowerPoint artists.

Not just you. Starting to look for exit opps but they all list some sort of technical skills which I haven’t learned in consulting
Can you list what some of these skills are? I’m curious to see if I have any of them haha
Is the slide design moving things around and making stuff pretty? Or have you learned about storyline and how to do the analysis to support it?
The latter is an especially valuable skill (in my humble associate opinion - tell me if I’m wrong😅)

If you are interested in a technical role then I would express that to your coach (or equivalent). In the meantime I would recognize that while it feels like a useless skill, learning how to convey the story of a project or tool to a client is very valuable. As you role over to more technical work you may find that being able to convey value and the “why” of a tool is a huge benefit
May sound harsh but how do you expect to switch to a technical role and be just as valued as you are now? You may want to evaluate if being happy/challenged at work is more important than making more. You also don’t necessarily have to take a pay cut. I know many of the digital roles are on par with Advisory and S&
