I'm planning a trip to Egypt with my friend to celebrate a her milestone birthday (post covid). Aside from the obvious can't-misses (giza, luxor, aswan, nile boat trip) any other recommendations? Context: late 30s, both women, adventurous but not super fit, happy to do off-the-grid/beaten track things, not into package tours but planning to hire one-off guides. Any and all thoughts are welcome. TIA!

I did a food/market tour in Cairo through Bellies En-Route (women owned business) and loved it

Loop Petra @ Jordan into the trip if possible

The new Grand Egyptian museum in Cairo is meant to open in 2021 (was 2020 but pushed because the C word). It’s over 20 years in the making and supposed to be the most complete gallery of Egyptian antiquities. I would add this to an itinerary if you’re into museums (or even if you’re not!)

Also maybe Hurghada if you want the sea for a little while

I have to travel to my client every week and the client’s office is attached to a very nice hotel that’s $250 per night. There’s a hotel right across the street that’s $150 per night.. it’s alright, but not as great. Should I be mindful about how much I’m spending or should I blow up the budget until someone says something?

It’s hard to understand COVID-19 rates of infection where I’m at or was, and the contracts was not inline with corporate ideals at least not in the IT sector. Their ideals was radical and the spread of harmful information on past events to prevent ethnicities to get vaccinated was alarming. It has highest infection rate in private sector. Don’t know death rates was strictly remote and put on non-sanctioned project NDA wasn’t signed and never knew until it came down the grapevine.

Took LOA last year, multiple months. Recovered from burnout driven by long hours during covid. But feel like I'm now experiencing burnout in a different form. Don't feel drained but I'm just unmotivated to do anything in life and work. I don't want to eat, exercise, go places, or work. I don't want another break from work, I want to keep doing things (eg not so drained I want to take months off) but this seems like burnout and I don't know what to do.

Hi everyone, I'm new to the bowl and would like to see if anyone is available to critic my resume. I have 6 years of work experience; 2 years are in Business Development and 4 years in Customer Service.

I am currently unemployed due to Covid-19 and been trying to get a job in Singapore. I want to refocus on my career in Business Development/Marketing and develop from there on.

Appreciate the help.

The managing partner of my office likes to make jokes about Covid now that it is “over” (either in small group convos or speeches to the office). My dad died from Covid, and I honestly feel like it’s so insensitive for him to make these comments when he knows that I lost my dad to it. Our office isn’t that big, and I don’t think many people forget being told that someone they know lost someone from Covid. It has made me consider leaving because of it, but the economy isn’t great.
