Anyone take the CFF exam?
If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

You do you girl! I think you need to decide if you want to have the baby or not. If you're considering abortion look into the facts... A lot of research shows that it won't impair your ability to have kids later etc. Its safe and healthy. And a totally valid option of you choose that, as is keeping it. I think that it's nice you want to include your manager in the decision but honestly it's your body and your choice. Do what's best for you. I don't think the age difference is a big deal at all, or relevant to the situation. I also don't think you necessarily have to switch firms or notify HR if you terminate the pregnancy. If you choose to stay with your manager and have the baby (or stay with him and don't have the baby) I think it's better to at least switch teams but you can both work at the same firm. It's a little messy but in my group we have several married couples who just work on different projects.
If this is real, I would seriously suggest talking to a psychologist about what the best thing to do would be. They are like mental independent auditors. They will give you unbiased advice. Changing jobs may put a lot of unneeded stress on you and the little one.
Abort? Y/N
Yeah, I'd just clean it out. No real financial benefit unless the manager is married and you could possibly get some hush money. I may have been watching to much scandal. Lol
Maybe adoption? I have many family members that couldn't have kids and waited years to adopt
Wait... have you told the manager?
Silly girl. Managers can't afford baby mamas.
Good luck to you no matter what you decide we are all here for you
So no one is asking the obvious question.....was it worth it?
You know when it's born that baby is on partner fast track.
Probably a smart decision... Does anyone else on your team know? Had something similar happen in our group. HR interviews are the worst.
Only the other associate I used to date
I think switching firms is probably best unless you want to be the center of gossip. I think that would be extremely distracting and counterproductive to you. Is there a big age difference?
How is the referral bonus? I dated a guy who was 10 yrs older when I was in high school. He wanted to get married but I just wasn't ready. He joined the military and is now running his own food truck in San Diego.
32 and 23? Not big of an age gap?? Weird! 9yrs is a lot.. Almost another generation. At least you should have used protection. Basic hooking up etiquette.
yea that's a pretty considerable age gap. If it was 2-3 years it would've seen more normal or if you were a senior and he was a young manager. He could get fired if people find out.
PwC gives 6months paid maternity leave. And did you tell your manager? TBH, I dnt think I'd keep a baby because im 23 too and I don't want to have kids yet ... So much life and youth left to live! Age diff not so bad tho in my opinion
@PWC1 there is no paid leave for 6months! It's unpaid! (I have 2 kids so I know what I'm talking about)
...or children.
He better give you at next in your next snapshot...is he your coach ?
Wait. Correction. 4-6 months
