I have a couple of questions for ZS fishes-
1. Is it possible to turn down a promotion at ZS? I'm currently happy with my responsibilities as a Decision Analytics Consultant and don't want any added responsibilities in the near future (next 5 years)
2. Is it possible to shape up a career path in the BC stream which doesn't involve business development? I don't want to get into working on SOWs and RFPs.

So I had all my rounds at Walmart, submitted documents, salary negotiation completed with HR and post that she says that she needs some approval from the business and then will release offer letter. It's been 3 weeks and I followed up every week and the reply was always "we are yet to hear back from business" until today when she said me go ahead with your other offer in hand I don't know if business will approve or not.
I wanted to know if anyone else faced a similar situation? Walmart
100k for senior analyst in Wisconsin. Worth it?
Hi HCL Tech,
I have joined HCL Tech 3 months back, is there any chance to change the base location? I have assigned to project and they want for work with client location which is same as current work location.
But I want to change the base location due to the climate of the location and distance from hometown?
TIA

At this point it’s crazy not get the credential. “Partner” on your resume is worth WAY more than “associate.” Stick it out, get the prize, then decide whether you want to stick around.
My thoughts exactly.
Also interested in responses. I’m close and will probably make (income) partner, but I’m kind of fried and not sure I actually want the job. Other than the money, I’m not sure I actually like most of what comes with being a partner (client management, firm admin, etc.).
I would say that you’ve come this far, it’s worth the incremental year to see if you like it (and to collect at least one of those checks/draws). I have to imagine you’ll have better exit opportunities as a partner than as an associate, anyways
This!! I‘ve been told I would make income partner this coming year or the next, and I’m not at all upset if I don’t get it this coming year. Ultimately in this job for the money and there is more of it as an associate / counsel than an income partner.

Thanks for all the encouragement! I guess I just feel tired from servicing so many clients. I have had a couple of interesting late stage in-house gigs come my way that are making me wonder if I should pivot to in-house now but it does feel like I’m pot committed to seeing this partnership thing through.

Do it…
Make a decision. They will sense your indecisiveness and make you hold out another year (or more). Either commit or don’t. No wrong answer.

Make partner and then quit. That way, everyone will know you rejected them.
