How do you guys learn from this strategy? It took me over 2 months to read FAR and follow Becker’s format and by the time my exam came, I blew it and failed the exam. Now I’m trying to learn through the MCQ strategy and applying it on audit but I’m noticing that I’m getting everything wrong. Should I go read the book first or should I stick to this? I’ve been making notes but my notes are all over the place ... I’m scared that I might fail this exam too. I’m giving myself 5 weeks for this exam though. For all the people who root for “drilling mcq till you’re dead” approach - what was your experience like in the start???
I definitely think learning the lessons and taking notes helped me a build a good foundation. Id then use 2 weeks before the test to “drill mcqs” and try to figure out why I was getting things wrong and find weak areas to re-review in my notes. Everyone learns differently. Understanding what to look for on mcqs helps but I don’t think only doing mcqs would have ever worked for me
Take MCQs. If you are still struggling after reading the explanation of the answer, then you can go back and read/watch that specific lecture. The whole point is to get as much experience with the MCQs as possible without having to spend a ton of time with the lectures. However you still need to leverage the lectures for areas you are struggling
