I’m really struggling mentally. The understanding of how insanely busy and overwhelming it will be because of this COVID-19 crap is giving me severe anxiety and panic attacks. I want to leave so badly but no one is hiring right now. I don’t know what to do. I feel trapped with no way out.

COVID WFH has put me several time zones away from my client (I’m further west and their culture is to start the day early anyway). It’s a new project so I don’t have relationships built up. How much pushback on morning meetings is reasonable? I know the project can’t operate totally around me but these start times aren’t sustainable...

Help…got a great offer at a tech company (non-FAANG), know several people on the team and they all swear they do not work more than 40 hours/week. Seeking advice for moving from industry leadership role (dr of training) into HC consulting. 20+ years in TD (L&D, PC, OCM). Industry roles for last 5 years but spent most of my career in small consulting orgs. CPTD but no degree (long story, about 15 cr shy). Would you suggest addl cert (CCMP, SHRM-C)? Will the lack of degree a no-go or is there a way in while I finish? A Sr director role is being dangled. Would the title bump help with the transition or do I risk missing a hot market?

Adventures in Interviewing: Today we were wrapping up a pretty good interview with a strong potential candidate. When asked if they had any last questions, they said that they had an issue with our Work from Home policy (we’re 100% WFH right now, and will not consider a re-opening strategy until everyone is vaccinated). The candidate declared that they did not believe in vaccines, so we needed to allow her to be a permanent remote hire. I guess I’m glad about the dodged bullet, so there’s that.

Have a great opp with a new company for a leadership role and to make a run at partner. BUT there are partners that I had a huge negative interaction early in my career (my first consulting company, we’ve all subsequently moved around). At the time I was young and in the wrong and one of the partners tried (unsuccessfully) to sack me. Should I reconsider the move? Would they block my bid for partner based on bad blood from 10 years ago?

Dear Amazing and incredible folk of fishbowl app, I received a HireVue interview for the 2022 New analyst position within Internal Audit at Goldman Sachs. I will be greatly obliged if you could please share your experiences and what kind of questions I should expect. Further, do you get do overs if you start to mess up an answer? I had applied to technology audit so how much should I be prepared to talk about auditing as a service? Once again any insights will go a long way. Thank you :)
