It was recommended that I take magnesium glycinate. Glycinate is the important part. Magnesium citrate has a laxative effect.

Could be “Maintenance Insomnia”. If so, no medical treatment that I’m aware of- needs Cognitive Behavior Behavior Therapy (CBT-I). A few CBT resources can be found online.

I had same issue but it was every 2-3 hrs. I’d go to bed earlier but it was still same problem. Very frustrating. I read somewhere about getting up at same time every day and that helped me big time. What I did was wake up 5am M-F no matter how early or late I went to bed. From there I was able to sleep 5-6 hrs without interruptions, wake up then fall back asleep for another 1-2 hrs.
Other things I did was avoided consuming anything that would force me to stay awake or force me to become sleepy. The other thing that was avoiding naps in afternoon. On occasion yes, but not frequent because they do mess with sleep.
