I’m in a rather peculiar situation. I have been in the HR field going on 4 years, I have over 11 years of management experience, I got my PHR last year and I recently graduated with my MBA with a concentration in HR this month. I am ready for a more challenging role. However, there doesn’t seem to be much available at my current company. However, I am going on 5 months pregnant with the expectation of being out in October. I feel like once I mentioned my pregnancy I was in a holding pattern.

What can legally be asked for maternity leave? My sister got a big packet of questions involving questions about her pregnancy, medications she’s on, etc., from her HR dept to be “approved” for leave. Feels wrong. I have not had to give them anything other than dates for my two leaves.

How do people deal with a really crushing, can completely, unfair loss? Filed a motion for temporary child and spousal support and the judge ordered my client to pay more than his salary. Obviously will be filing a motion to reargue and possibly an appeal. But those take forever and in the mean time I have a very upset client. This made me little bit uncomfortable in the project. Like what if i am not able to perform at the same level as other.
