Hey guys, lately I’ve been struggling to prove to my superiors at work my worth to their company while being a full time student. I get paid $21 an hour to be an assistant manager and now I am being branched into another location within the company. I am also a graphic designer for them. I have been with them since day one, yet I feel like I am in the dark about whats going on with the company that involves my job position and tasks. What should I do?

I just got a call from a Partner in a competing a competing firm. They are interested in my skill set. I like my current firm, but am intrigued by the call from the competition. I interviewed for Deloitte USI for Consultant role. Received pre-hire survey mail and filled all the details. HR called to discuss regarding the salary and told My role has been changed to Analyst- Full Stack Java Developer. I have counter offer of 11LPA and he said he couldn’t give me more than 10 LPA that will also be too much. I asked him to give me time to think and asked to mail him for further discussion.

How do you review resumes in a way that reduces implicit bias? I just finished reading the book, "Biased," which discusses the implicit biases we all hold. Our company has not invested in an ATS software, and we’re looking to create a scoring rubric / database in excel based on the job description and candidates. What are ways to ensure the resume review process controls for bias and is still efficient / expedient?

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

I am looking for validation here. Is my workload too much? Working for a healthcare organization, where most of my openings are RNs, CNAs, retail and Corporate. I am sole recruiter for 60 vacancies, in charge from req to offer. Also managing all employee merit increases, status changes, promotions, position changes etc for 500 employees, day to day HR inquiries, Workers Comp, and performance review management. (I used to be just “Recruitment” but as people leave, they just divvy out their job).

I’m not old BUT when I was younger I thought it was important to have all the alphabets after my name (I.e. Phr, SHRM and all the others). I learning that the younger crowd coming into the market thrives off these identifiers yet they know very little about the real world aspects of the job. I watch leadership roll their eyes at the email footers. I feel like keeping those attached to my name hurts my credibility so I removed them…. I’m I thinking wrong?
