Way easier to do if both jobs are remote.
The auto insurance industry has WFH positions in claims. Some companies even send the equipment out to you so you’re able to train at home before you transition out to a team. Some companies might need you to be local to drive in for the occasional meeting but most will probably have you do a zoom meeting.

Do you like burnout? This is how you get burnout. Also, lots of companies stipulate in their employment contracts that you cannot hold outside employment, especially if in the same industry.

A couple thoughts. My friend worked in the lending industry and lost his shirt in the previous recession 2008. He did a pivot to sales. He got a role at Comcast and worked his way up. Now he’s doing business development on fiber infrastructure for large enterprise customers. He’s remote, happy. I’ve tried working two gigs in the past with a side hustle. It’s tough. You gotta find low time high reward gigs. Then it gets into your specialized skill set and everyone is different. Tech skills are easy to monetize.
