I’m seriously looking at working two full time jobs. One would be my current 8-5 M-F job and then the 2nd would be trying to get into remote work. Anybody have any experience or suggestions on how to successfully pull this off?

Went into the office today. The choice to come in was mine as the office is open but there’s no mandate.

Gotta admit, it was nice to have fast wifi, a crap ton of LaCroix I can drink (and take home), and just get out of my home office for a change.

I feel it was a good break/refresh when at office but now it really feels just an extra overhead siting on desk pretending to have fun when you can ACTUALLY have rest/fun by just taking break for that time and instead interact with people around yourself AT Home. Feels more refreshing.

I am a second year associate working in international arbitration. It is usual for me to be in the office from 9.30/10 am to 8.30pm and frequently after 8.30 and sometimes until late night (e.g. until 1am and very exceptionally nighters). How much time do you usually spend in the office? What country do you work in?

Not sure how to gauge this: first year lit attorney and have not been meeting hours due to general lack of work (I ask for it, people just say to hang tight until something comes up). The work I do get typically has a very quick turnaround time, so I’ll bill ~14h/day but for only a few days at a time, resulting in low monthly numbers. Is this normal for lit? Part of me thinks it’s a result of poor case management, but who am I to say? Just trying to hear about others’ experiences.

How would you reply to recruiters who ask you what other positions are you interested in when you are interviewing with them? Do you only state you're interested in the position you applied for, do you show interest in exploring other opportunities, do you let the recruiter know whatever role they believe you would fit best?
