I work at a new, small firm. We get 10 days of PTO. For family/medical leave, we get 20 days paid and then 20 days unpaid. But policy says we have to take our PTO concurrently with paid family/medical leave. That’s weird, right? It’s like you end up losing paid leave days. It makes sense to do it concurrently with unpaid leave but not paid leave, right?

Can we claim / reimburse medical bills (eg - tablets, consultation fees etc) apart from hospitalization in LTI?

Should we opt for company provided group medical insurance?

Can someone from Chicago recommend a good place for cosmetic procedures (Botox, medical grade facials, fillers, etc). I’m a 25 year old looking to start all that.

Reminiscing… I used to love the holidays because it was such a festive, flirty season living in NYC with all out office parties and then vacation time when I’d fly to Europe or wherever. My downstairs neighbors are louder during the week than on the weekends and it always starts around 10:30 pm until 1am. If it was on weekends only or only once a week I wouldn’t mind as much. 2021 was a tough year for me but looking towards 2022 with much hope since it’s a year of laying the groundwork for more personal & professional transformation.
