Littleton here! Love this little town! I live about a 20 minute walk from downtown. It’s great. Granted I’ve got a wife and a kid, so it’s a bit of a different life for me, but I’d choose Littleton over the Ranch any day of the week. You’re close enough that you can drive there if you need to.
Town of Littleton is nice , still a train ride away from downtown if I want that life
Fair fair
Do it.
Highlands Ranch is cookie cutter but it is a nice area.
Depends on what area of Littleton. Depending on where you work, I would go more South.
Good luck
I moved from Union Station to Lakewood and love it. The value of downtown really dropped off the past few years and was also pretty over the downtown life in general. If you’re not getting yourself to a point where you can’t drive home anymore it’s pretty easy to get to and fro and you’ll have so much more peace and quiet. Good luck!
Funny you say that about living near Union station
I went to a party at An apartment above Whole Foods . It was fun but again the downtown life
Highlands ranch is idyllic. Lots of singles, surprisingly.
Only con might be dating - could find yourself with a smaller pool or people unwilling to go out to Littleton. Otherwise, it sounds great! Have you considered renting a place in Mayfair or just west of the highlands to see how you like it? Maybe take baby steps away from the city?
Hey if you want to set me up pwc1 jk yea that’s a fair point. I keep dating and meeting “party hard” guys in downtown which I’m also over haha :)
Agree with the person who said a con might be dating.
Have you considered the highlands (not highlands ranch) instead?
Idk Littleton might be a good route to go
Yeahhhhh Do It.
Colorado native here who has worked in New York the last few years.
Everyone told me it would be so lame and I would stay single forever if I moved over to more suburban New Jersey
I moved out there because I could see deer regularly along the roads, & there’s more green space.
Everyone told me it was social suicide
Well guess what? I’m not “ everyone” else. I became much happier within weeks after moving. And then several years later I have a baby on the way so I guess it wasn’t such social suicide
:)
You know I keep dating guys who just want to have “fun” anyways
Idk Littleton might be good one
I’m just paying so much in rent to be in kinda of blah area
Nice apartment I live in but yea
Do it. We currently live in HR and LOVE it. Moved here at 25 (I’m 31 now, married but no kids) from Denver (highlands area) and it felt a bit premature but now I truly love it. Depending where you work, could be pretty convenient too with everything in the tech center and park meadows areas, and regardless it’s still very accessible to the highway which is one of the things I love about it. More bang for your buck as far as housing goes too.
Nice apartments in that area. Only drawback is school pickup/drop off traffic around STEM. Decent food options in walking distance. Trail access heading toward B’way.
Downtown Littleton is great. If I were 20
Years younger I’d want to live right there. Walkable. Close to train to get downtown etc.
Thank you guys for the help!
Cons would probably be that you stay single 😅
I’m not seeing a 💍 in my future downtown area either
How old are you OP? Dating could be worse in the areas you are considering. Agree about the homeless situation though, moved out of downtown Denver because of that.
I’m 31
I’m seriously considering

I think it’s a good move. Downtown is a fun place to visit not so much live. Don’t sleep on Stapleton or Lowry either.
29 yo here. I bought a house near Old Town in Arvada. Area is getting cuter every day and I can walk to the light rail to go downtown whenever I want. I still venture downtown a few times a month and I am happy with it here
