I just joined a new company as their second Product Designer. I’ve come to realize the current designer works incredibly slow and I’m almost positive they are only putting in a couple hours a day.

My question is, do I slow my production by 85% to align with the other designer or do I go at my own pace and potentially make them look bad.

We are considered equals at this company. Same level designer.

How do you handle a "delicate" listing on your resume? I worked a company that some corporations might find inappropriate but I don't want to lose those years of experience.

I recently accepted a job offer with another bank. They’re offering me $12,500 more than I’m making now, better benefits, and flexibility. However, the new head of my department is trying to counter by making me a VP, giving me $5000 more than the company I said yes to would, and moving me from my current manager and having me report directly to him. Should I accept? I’m so conflicted.

Has anyone here worked with a career coach before? I’m thinking that I might need one. I’ve switched jobs every year or year and a half since I graduated in 2015. I get extremely bored at around the one year mark. Right now I’m working at amazing company but I do so much transactional stuff and I’m SO bored. The company is really small so there’s no much else I can do except leave. And I hate the idea of it.

I'm in a good position now but I have a chance to get out of what I'm doing to something completely different.. I think it will be less stress and less client contact. Making 106k plus discretionary bonus right now. Would it make sense to apply for something that's more specific but might have less room for growth but will get to the salary I want? Let's say 115k base salary.

Has anyone worked at FIRST Global Brand Experience Agency? I’ve been offered a position but I’m curious if they use tracking software and if so, what kind? I’ve heard some real horror stories lately about WFH employees being afraid to use the restroom because if their face isn’t visible on camera at random intervals they lose pay etc. Before I accept, I just want to know what kind of environment I’m signing up for.

Pretty certain I will be fired or asked to quit if I can’t pass a licensing exam in a few weeks as it’s my final try. I’m just a horrible test taker and work life balance + studying hasn’t been great. I don’t want to lose my holiday bonus & am nervous about the current job market if I was fired. I just want to have back up options in case the exam doesn’t go my way. What would you do in my scenario?

Rumors stirring that the lack of culture is going to force my region’s offices to force people to come back to the offices within the next 2-3 months. We are still at 30% capacity in the office. The division is obviously with people with smaller kids and school aged kids not being in the office unless their spouses can be home with them. Is anyone else seeing this at their regional firms? I already have had talks with leadership that I would go on a WFH permanent schedule if this happens
