My end goal is FP&A..I don’t mind taking a pay cut - should I switch to audit now ? Would I start back as an A1? I’m 2 years and 3 months into tax - I’m not pigeonholed yet right?

I'm in audit because I was told it would be a good place to start while I figure out what I career I want. It's been a year now and I still don't know what I want to do, but I do know that I don't want to be in public accounting long term, at least not in audit. If I had an end goal rn it'd be easy to know if I should stay or leave Big4, but my goal was just to get a job lol.

I’m an S1 (early promote, so I’ve been with PwC barely over 2 years) currently I have a salary of $77,800. Before I was making $58,300 (just in June lol)

The offer on the table for a very large private company is $78K base, a $7K sign-on bonus (to make up for me leaving a $5,400 bonus at PwC), a guaranteed (written in the offer) bonus payout at YE of $15K (Mar). After my first full year, total comp is expected to be $120-125K. Also worthy of mention is a >10% 401K contr.
