I'm so glad to see the changes to accept more women in academia in recent years. I'm hopeful that my own daughter will be able to follow in my footsteps one year.

It's about time, I don't know how to be smarter than a woman, in all aspects. If this movement had made an impact earlier, we would be living in a better world.

There is still a lot of ground to cover as women, but it is necessary to enjoy every victory, we are getting closer and closer to equality.

I am sure that this world would have been a better place with more of our presence in the decisions of the world, but evil has always triumphed, now we have to train exemplary women so that the future will always be better.

As a researcher I was always involved in the second or third place of important research, it was something dictatorial of the university I worked for, not allowing women to be seen as great is something retrograde in a university, it is good that we are getting closer.

It's amazing how far the women's rights movement has come in recent years. We must continue at this rate.

Working remotely for a tech co and still can't get over how much more time I get to spend with my kids. To be honest, this alone is worth so much more than money can buy. For those who plan well, I really think exiting can be worth it if family is a priority. It's really helped my marriage also, I'm a lot kinder to my wife with way less stress.

Been with a girl for years. We get along well and enjoy each other's company. We're comfortable around each other, and I've generally been happy with her. As we've begun talking about marriage, I'm really giving some deliberate thought as to whether she's the right life partner for me. I'd pondered it before, but our relationship progressed very organically so never gave it too much serious consideration.

Now that I think of it, cont..

Hoping this doesn’t turn controversial. Should I be teaching my young kids to read Quran in Arabic (so learn a new language just to read Quran but no value otherwise), or skip Arabic and have them read transliteration (so like Alhamdu lilahi) or third option to just read in English the translation where they will actually understand? I mean, I spend 100 dollars a week on a tutor to teach them Arabic. My parents spent thousands and I can barely read it now and prefer transliteration.thoughts?

A reminder: use the slow times to catch up on life, rather than wiling away the hours sitting at your desk waiting for emails to come in. This last week was my slowest in years, but used it to clean and organize my place, vehicle, and get the nursery ready for our first child. Time well spent.
