Have a formal offer at Citi for 120K as an AVP in the NY office. Currently making 92K at my current role where I feel there’s not much room to grow anymore. Is this a fair offer? I currently WFH pretty much full time at my current role which has been amazing, but it seems like Citi would require me to be there 2-3 days in the office per week - and this is something I’m very hesitant about. Thoughts on how to approach this?

Hi Everybody,
I'm currently working as an outsource in Rapid Metro as Technical Assistant/Civil. I earned a Master degree in Water Resource Engineer after B.Tech in Civil Engineering. Due to Covid 19 I took job back in Civil sector even though I have a masters degree in WRE. It's been almost 6 months of constant applying and rejection and still I'm nowhere close to a job in my dream branch which is the Water sector.Im hopeful that through this portal I may find an entry level position in water

If you feel like a imposter you are gonne be a good one! All the bad ecds i worked before definitely think they are good shit.
Trust your CDs, get to know the juniors, and empower your department. Nothing worse than a micromanaging ECD.
Sit with your cco and go over expectations, roles, vision for the team. Do the same for your lieutenants- spend time and let them know how you manage and hear how they work best. Be patient. Meet people. Invest in understanding everyone’s strengths acd areas of opportunity. Be consistent and try standing check ins. Communicate. A lot.
you sound like one of the good ones. hope to have the chance to work with you.
Be a nice person. It’s pretty obvious but I’ve met so many CDs and ECDs who are just assholes
I’m a junior at the bottom of the pile, I’ve worked with some great ECD’s so far, and one or two not so good ones. The best ones have a small proximity between them and their teams. They attend reviews opposed to feedbacking over email. They empower their placement teams with good briefs. They have a vision for the department and realise that reviewing the work is 50% of the job, the other 50% is creating a culture where everyone feels free to do their best work and fuck up. They also protect their teams time and work closely with Head of Traffic to make sure no team is swamped or burning out. Seems to be a 24/7 thing tbh, all the good ECD’s I’ve seen so far seem to spend no time at home, and work late. But they’re totally fired up and inspired about what they’re doing.
I really appreciate how you think. That shows you are in the right track.
I think your CCO has chosen you because you are mature creatively. Now he needs you to create a creative vision to your group, set up a creative level and help executively with clients, selling that creative vision to their brands.
You are going to be great. Don’t worry.
Also congrats!
